| I have to hand it to fleecy: He answers that first question BEAUTIFULLY! Very clever, diplomatic and non-accusing response. The question is a potential flame bomb - but it would require a very thin skin indeed to find something to get offended about in fleecy's reply. Impressive. . SlimJim |

| As for amiga.org, I doubt the news item will appear on there. It has been said to have forum value only. ANN is another matter of course (but it gets relegated to forum status nowadays too). . SlimJim |

| Another totally unintersting QA.
I have to admit though, Fleecy is quite good in saying nothing with a lot of words, something we have witnessed with McEwen also.
It doesn't work for me though and it all sounds completey empty.
But as i stated my opinion too much already on this, i rest my case. The QA is totally useless drivel, empty words about nothing at all.
And please, no more questions about Amiga generation 2. Remember Zico, the gameconsole that McEwen announced at a show somewhere, the Partypack, the coupon, and not to forget: OS5 on x86 by the end of this year, which was one of the most memorable interviews with McEwen ever. Haven't we been lied to enough already?
It saddens me to see that this is supposed to be the future of Amiga. |

Yep, because from the 10 or so questions that i had posted, it were the two easy ones...
But explain to me: what have you learned from those QA? I value your opinion... |

Things not going to plan & deals falling through. does not equal lieing.
Aos5 by end of the year is very unlikey but still there is no proof as the year is not at an end.
Convicting with out proof is not progress. That is the way of the past.
[Edit] ubove is O/T as this is about fleecy's Q/A & not what McEwen said in the past.
Has fleecy lied in the Q/A thus far.
We have all lied at times that does not mean eveything we say there after must be seen as a lie. _________________ PowerTower A1200, 060/80Mhz, Heatsink & Fan, 66MBRam, PowerFlyerGold, 50xCDRomdrive, 250Zip, 2.1

I'm not muffin (I'm much more handsome ), but I'll try to comment on this anyhow. It is true of course that little has appeared directly from AmigaInc since they bought the trademark back in 2000.
But they bought the trademark. And they allowed Hyperion and Eyetech licenses for that trademark. Had not AmigaInc been around to grant that trademark, I very much doubt there would have been any AOS4/AmigaOne at all today. Do you think Hyperion would have bought the trademark off Gateway? Eyetech? All credit to those guys, but it was AInc that put up with the risk and capital to get things rolling. As it turned out, they payed dearly for it, economically, and still are. So yes, I do think that Amiga has done something to be satisfied with. Without their existance, we would have no continuation of the classic AmigaOS. You can of course argue that things might have looked differently had someone else bought the trademark. But thats "What if"-thinking. Pointless. The fact is that noone else did. A bunch of enthusiastic new and old Amigans under the name of Amino did. And people tend to forget that. Quote:

I learn exactly what I am supposed to learn from fleecy. Everyone knows AInc isn't directly involved in current development. Economics didn't allow that. Of course fleecy's main specialty is the future of the platform - since they own it. Present development issues are best forwarded to Hyperion/Eyetech anyway. He has answered the T-shirt question. He has acknowledged the fact that AInc hasn't made the smartest of moves in the past. He has acknowledged that they aren't exactly bursting with money. He will (after checking with AInc:s sales department) help those having questions about the offers directly from AInc. He talks about the future, of AmigaDE, of the merging with AOS, since that is the part AInc will (hopefully) take an active part in. In short he talks about the parts of the Amiga future development AInc themselves will contribute to - what did you expect him to talk about? . SlimJim |

This statement by z5 sums it up nicely. All the talk in the world won't bring back credibility. Only high quality shipping product will. Until then, there will be many people with z5's hard stance on any talk coming out of any of the companies involved in producing said product.
I think we, the optimists, must acknowledge that for the z5's out there, nothing else will be good enough. Don't bother arguing.
And for the z5's out there, you have to realize that we are optimists. Bringing up the facts from the past doesn't help ship product. Don't bother arguing.
Now, can we please get back to the topic at hand? _________________ ExecSG Team Lead

IMO regarding people's opinions there is one golden rule: "You can not satisfy everyone".
The fact is however that many people do view this communication as useful. So the only thing I can suggest to you is to just ignore these questions and answers sessions. If you think we would pick all your questions, like you suggested a short while ago. There's no way we will make this a z5 asks Fleecy session. |

| I see that one of my questions was asked (one about CAM data being exclusive).
It was asked a while back and I had forgotten all about it.
I have since joined the club. I have noticed that some of the information has since been posted.
I also questioned the policy covering dual coupons as I also now have Party Pack/Club coupons.
I have downloaded the DE 1.3 SDK from the developer site. It is still just the Intent w/out Amiga's additions.
What I am interested in is the conmplete AmigaDE 1.0 with All of Amiga Inc enhancements. Thats what I thought I was buying when I purchaced the Party Pak!
