This immediate speculation based on no info (and ignoring the evidence of the name itself) is why so much disappointment occurs in the amiga world. Over speculation on little evidence => acusations of failure to deliver => disappointment ete cte etc

Enhancer Core is the gadget set (a few library dependencies) used to build A_Eon Enhancer software package.

"Enhancer" could mean anything.

maybe it would have been clearer to just call it "Aeon UI"

Lets see how these "enhancements" & their API compare against other Uis.

As opposed to 25 years of information and evidence that have made Commodore seem irreproachable?

The doodoo begets the juju.

It is a collection of core elements required by programs in A-EON's Enhancer package which will be released to the public at no cost.

The idea being that 3rd party developers can then take advantage of many Enhancer features and not worry if their end customers have the paid package or not.

Full details will be made available after the launch at the DevCon.

It is a freely downloadable pack containing a set of classes and libraries developed as part of the Amiga Developer project and used by the Enhancer Software. The release of the Core aims at addressing the common complaint that other developers are unable to make use of the Enhancer components because their users/customers would first have to purchase the Enhancer Pack. With the Enhancer Core freely available to anyone, third-party developers will now be able to utilize A-EON's classes and libraries without imposing any restrictions on their users.

Not really. The Core components conform to the existing Amiga frameworks, i.e. the libraries are standard Amiga Exec libraries and the classes are standard BOOPSI classes.

It seems that the MorphOS road is better Flow editor Obj-C and it’s framework, runtime lib they follow the Cocoa road which is known to improve developer productivity, they need to release a bigger framework thought but it is a promising start.

Of course it is. And there's actually someone working on their SDK, whereas Hyperion hasn't updated it in years.

Hello Steven,

This comes on short notice, but on the DevCon, would it be possible to demonstrate how one can set up an AmigaOS 4 cross-compiler (GCC 9.2) on Mac or Linux?

No because that is not an easy thing to accomplish right now. However, there is a movement underway which will make cross development much easier and useable. We will be discussing this aspect and what we need at the DevCon in more detail.

Using Docker you can do that without to much trouble. Works on Linux, Mac and Windows:
