Eh? Yes, I am a bit sorry for him having invested anything in this, as GM seems to be one of the Good Guys who, as far as I've understood it, stood up for his customers and provided warranty repairs when Eyetech failed. I didn't know he had put anything into this "Maskirovka" too, but now it looks like he's about to be burned again. _________________ Oh, bother.

Can't we just wait one more day and see what they tell us at BB4? |

| When it's ready, Eyetech could just label the Troika boards as AmigaOneT. They have a license and distribution contacts in place. There would obviously be a fuss from the usual crowd, but so what. _________________ Happiness is mandatory. MindSpace: MindMaps and UML diagrams for OS4

| Indeed. I even said as such on IRC a while back.
Naturally Alan would want a perentage per board but thats only fair anyway.
Cures all sorts of problems. _________________ ****************************************** I dont suffer from Insanity - I enjoy it

And a licence for what, the OS4 port which doesn't exist yet and these developers will have to create first? Even if the AmigaOS4 kernel is already running on a Troika board they still need additional developers for the hardware drivers (USB, the additional southbridge IDE port, sound, ethernet, etc.) which requires boards for these develoers, somehing like an initial, limited quantity release for OS4 development |

Hey, that was like logic or something. What are you, Vulcan? Shame on you for destroying a good argument with that head-thinking and book-learning and stuff. _________________ This weeks pet peeve: Using "voltage" instead of "potential", which leads to inventing new words like "amperage" instead of "current" (I, measured in A) or possible "charge" (amperehours, Ah or Coulomb, C). You are real stubborn sometimes. You always ask for people to define this and define that. Think for yourself sometimes!!!
A reference board doesn't have to run when they show it to still be a reference board. _________________ /Harry

I define "reference board" as in X86 world i.e. a reference design ready for ODMs/IHVs hence the word “reference”.
For example; AMD Yamato (AMD/NV/IBM mobile design), AMD Yokohama (AMD-ATI mobile design), ATI Grouper (AMD) and ATI Jaguar (Intel). AMD's Yamato, ATI's Grouper (AMD) and ATI's Jaguar (Intel) was known to be working reference design i.e. able to run wintel benchmarking tests.
Using another example... Refer to http://www.amdboard.com/geode_100505.html for functional "AMD Geode GX Single Board Computer Reference Design Kit".Last edited by Hammer on 17-Sep-2006 at 09:18 AM. Last edited by Hammer on 17-Sep-2006 at 09:09 AM.
