| Hi HMK,
although the gain of the 3.5 is really fantastic, i have some problems here too.
The worst still with http://www.audiolabs.it and all the related links (top bar>Plugin-Downloads etc).
The problem is random and freezes AWeb with 100% of CPU loads.
The Enforcer Hits point to "AWeb retreive".
I've tryed as suggested:
- unselect the "Suppress refereer" and "RFC 2109"
- without using DiskCache
- with and without OPTIONS in jfif plugin
SYSTEM: A4000 CSPPC060- CGX4.3/CV64 OS 3.9 BB2 PFS3 UWSCSI disk
tested with both Genesis and MiamiDX (XSurf2 and an ADSL bridge)
If you want, i can send you the Hits log file.

You can send it directly to the aweb-dev@sunsite.dk list. It's moderated, but I'll let your message through. Anything with Enforcer hits is always interesting.

It's an A1200 '030 with AGA and OS3.5.
Running in the background are (in no particular order): MiamiDx Facts VirusZ GrabIFF Blanker NoClick CycleToMenu
and, perhaps more relevantly:
FBlit SystemPatch
I'll give it a try without startup-sequence in a bit. Enforcer doesn't even get a look in, AWeb reads the entire page (progress bar shows 2274/2274 bytes) and then I get a system failure (of the Suspend/Reboot variety) error 8000000B. AWeb 3.4APL works perfectly under the same circumstances.

| It does exactly the same thing with nothing running in the background. _________________ "Miracles we do at once, the impossible takes a little longer" - AJS on Hyperion Avatar is Tabitha by Eric W Schwartz

| What if you try to disable double buffering? That can be done in Settings/Browser Settings.../Options and uncheck the Use double buffered rendering. |

| Hi HMK
i've just posted the Enforcer log.
With double buffering disabled (already tryed from the beginning) is even worse . . freeze the system also.
I've NOW copied the AWeb installation, on a SFS 1.214 partition (i'm usually on PFS3 18.5 060) and "seems" that at least freezes are no more present.
But as already posted on the mail, the problem is highly RANDOM and difficult to reproduce twice.
Ciao
PS- often a "reload page" is needed otherwise a blank page is showed (ie login on amigaworld.net or amiga.org) don't know if "referer disabled" related. _________________

No, no difference (except the progress bar only makes it 50% of the way)

| Hi all,
i've found a setting, that works "quite" fine.
Tomorrow i'll upload to my site (for testing pouposes).
SFS highly recomended.
Bye
EDIT- try this settings . . .anyway Aweb3.5 has some serious bugs, diskcache and network engine related IMHO.

To aweb-dev@sunsite.dk? I didn't receive any messages from the mailing list system. You can try again, but if the problem persists, I guess we can't do it that way and you'll have to send it to me directly. (Darn it!)

I don't think it is. I've seen it a lot on our own Work Overview page and it doesn't use any referring or redirecting tricks, but noone has yet nailed what triggers it.
I also think bug #14 has part of it. |

| Didn't get it. I'm guessing Sunsite's spam filters are filtering it out. I thought it would go through since I regularly receive spam for the list.
Method of log attachment doesn't matter.
Just mail it to me on henrik@aweb.sunsite.dk. Thanks. |

| Didn't get that one either. I just sent a testmail to that address and it works.
Sunsite does have problems with blocking certain domains for spam and I think they're blocking to all sunsite.dk addresses, not just mailing lists.
Put it in a PM to me. That should work. |
