I tend to agree, it's way too much like the Windows "Start" which is one of the "features" of Windows I hate
Sorry guys, just my opinion, the less we make OS4 look like Windows the better as far as I'm comcerned!
Having said that it looks okay, so maybe Windows users will want a version _________________ SAM 460 with 2GB or RAM, 1000GB HD, 4 port SATA, DVDRW drive and Radeon HD 4650 GFX card.

OS4 locks up (mouse freezes) when I run AmiStart.
I would really like an OS4 version. |

| Yes, same here. On the serial output, you can see that RAM has crashed, and usually several other programs as well. At least on OS4, it appears as if AmiStart writes to random memory. _________________ AmigaOne XE 800Mhz/1024MB Radeon 9200 128MB 160GB HD/2x 4GB HD SII0680 PATA133 Audigy 2 3Com 100Mb PCI Card

| Nice....the fact that it is possible to get icons below for the open windows is the only thing I miss about the AOS.
I think we all know the problem of getting lost in all the open windows.
Looking forward to an OS4.0 version!

| The start bar is about hte only thing I like in Windows and only the version in XP
it allows you to group items by program and do a close group its a much neater version that previous ones
I don't reall like the docky (os3.9) will have to play with it a big more though
I use the windows start bar all the time as I mainly use the keyboard to navigate my computer start + a letter will auto start a program for me. quickly
I'm willing to do away with it just to use a real amiga OS _________________ Aldur ------------------------------

| @Aldur
The dock in 4.0 is not the same as the one in 3.9, it has been completely re-written and is far, far more functional and extendable.
The FKey commodity can launch a program or script from any key combination you wish. (This has been part of the OS since 3.0) |
