posted by Toaks on 20-Nov-2004 17:29:03 (4834 reads)
CWMMoria is a rogue-like RPG game, based on the original Moria. Pick a character and face the horrors of a large mine and perhaps even Balrog himself..

This game was made for the classic Amiga's over a decade ago and it became quite popular with RPG fanatics.

Not much of a looker theese days but it sure holds alot of playbility so be sure to check it out.

CWMMoria is Downloadable from OS4Depot HERE

Have fun.

Can you tell the exact error? I had a couple of them while testing over a week ago, but not lately.

Okay, I will look to it.

Tell me what stack size do you use? Does GR say anything about stack, by the way?

Im clicking the icon from WB so its 32768. I'll try it from shell and a large stack of 1 meg but i remember the shell had the same probs, maybe stack was too low then as well.

Nothing about the stack except whats shown. Sorry.

Someone correct me if im wrong but the last line in the stack trace mentions dos.library, so that means whatever argument was passed to that function in dos caused the DSI right? Moria sent the wrong pointer and dos.library->somefunc() accessed bad mem? Or am i backwards? :)

-- edit --
Same problem from shell with stack of 1000000.

Moria needs some stack, but 1000000 should be more than enough.

I think the trace is read from bottom to top.

Anyway, stack trace will be useful...

In AmigaOS 4.1 update 6 the savefile that the game tries to create is created without ANY attributes - so it can't be written to or deleted.

And if I open up a cli to give it rwed attributes then the game just removes the attributes again and complains that it can't write to the file (the same thing happens when you provide a name for the new savegame).

(I know this is an old post, but can anyone investigate? )
