I finally bought a WD 80 GB SATA HD...
I have a sii3112 PCI board...Does our sii3112 driver support HDD Led ? I attached the HDD led cable to the 2 pin on 3112 board..but led doesn't blink...
My sii680 board supports LEDs...it blink while there is activity..
Is this a driver related issue ? _________________ AmigaOS4 Beta-Tester ---------------------------------- Amiga X5000 8GB Radeon RX 560 Amiga A1222 2GB Radeon RX 550 Sam 460 2GB RadeonRX 550

Did you connect the LED cable the correct way? It's often hard to figure out which way the LED cable is supposed to be connected, so just try it the other way around, might help... |

> the A,M,I,G,A,R,U,L,E or Z etc behind the number is just a tag and doesnt mean much regarding if it will work or not with the driver.
> this goes for most hw, like a hp5500 printer driver works on hp5500A , hp5500U etc.
And it doesn't go for e.g. RTL8139A/B/C/D as there are some drivers that only support A and B but not C. Same goes for e.g. HP Omnibook 4150 and 4150B and many other products in the world. If there was no technical difference they wouldn't be named differently. |

| Man, this is excellent news! I have been talking about buying this controller for quite a while now, and now the reason to do it is here! Excellent work, Hyperion! Keep it up! AmigaOS 4.0 seems to become one hell of a serious OS capable of the most! |

| Great news! Good job!
@Toaks, if you find that wonder-card please let us know. I'd love to have Firewire, USB2.0 and SATA on a card.

Find it: Serial ATA + USB2.0 + 1394a
It offers:
- 2 serial ata channels (Silicon Image 3112) - 3 firewire ports (2 external, 1 internal) - 4 usb 2.0/1.1 ports (3 external, 1 internal)
Model VP-9631, www.vipower.com
Now we need the NEC drivers for USB2.0 and Firewire
Ciao

For the sake of completeness, the next release of the SiI 3112 driver will also support the SiI3512 chip.
This way, the whole SATA PCI line of Silicon Image chips is supported under OS4 (3112, 3512, 3114) + their PATA UDMA133 chip (SiI680). |
these are decent chips, seen them used in several projects.
What kind of reads are you shooting for/getting for UDMA-100 ?

Well Max that's the copy. Here's the original SIIGs own card. They also have several other fine combo models with for ex. USB2.0/Firewire400/GLAN. The latter one with 1394-TI chip, USB-NEC chip, 10/100/1000 Ethernet-RealTek chip.
