It would not surprise me if a PPC module card was released for this...

And OS 4 got ported.

Alternatives to the MAI based boards are needed . It wouldnt surprise me if we saw an ITX board made by ACK .

Well I have mAmigaone and A4000 with ppc and A1200 with 68060 so I would buy Dragon for my A1200. And play hardware hitting applications with e-uae, because mAmigaOne and A400 w/ ppc I don't need ppc for A1200 (and I have only x-surf in my 1200 so don't need zorro in 1200). SO I would be happy to have Dragon.

we'll have to see how transparent and compatible is the 680x0 emulation... if aga demos keep sync, etc...

266Mhz is quite a lot, but Amithlon running on a multi Ghz x86 also runs OS3.9 very fast... so they'd better make it VERY compatible... if AGA demos work directly with perfect sync I guess they'll sell some units...

If the emulation doesn't provide perfect sync and it can't run AGA demos I guess most of people will end up buying an ACK board...

About the 4000 version... It's not clear how they would do it...

I don't get this card on card on card idea.

Since Elbiox are so good, and they really are, why don't they make a new amiga based on all they know.

Then skip the aga and the amiga sfx stuff and just put in some decent HW, and maybe write an aga emultor or what ever.

The a1200 is outdated HW, and you can't be sure it will run tomorrow, since it is so old.

So why not make a new Amiga coldfire clone ??

What idiot put a frigging BARREL BATTERY on that board?!

Step 1: Buy a Dragon
Step 2: Snip off barrel battery, install socket for NiCd "button" battery
Step 3: Enjoy your now non-self-destructing product.

Of course, "if" Elbox pays enough Hyperion to do the port, they may be able to buy a licence for 68k to Amiga Inc.

They would need to pay a hillarious amount to justify the work required. Plainly, I wouldn't count on it. No, more to the point, I could simply say "no it won't". If there would be a different CPU supported by OS 4, it would most certainly be a step forward, not backwards.

Yep, I can see that. Why couldn't Elbox release the shark and use the drivers now being used on OS 3.9 for use with PPC?

I'd like to find out more about the CPU connector Elbox is using, and whats that side connector on the right side for?
