Software News   Software News : AmigaAMP 2.15 released!
posted by Anonymous on 24-Jul-2005 22:36:28 (4312 reads)
Thomas Wentzel has released a bugfix release of his great MP3 player AmigaAMP.

Download it and have fun.

Quote:

Once again some minor bugfixes. The PPC engines now can handle changes of
the playback frequency within MP3 files or streams. Also I've slightly
improved the error robustness so hopefully the PPC decoder doesnt crash
because of malicious MP3 files any more. Streaming from slow shoutcast
servers has been improved, too.

If you've got questions please use the discussion board first. I will
check it regularly.

Hi all,

When i load AmigaAMP for the first time after a fresh install, it all works fine. The graphic equalizer works great. However, if i shut down AmigaAMP and then reload it(even after a cold reboot) if i turn on the graphic equalizer i get an error box saying that i need the PPC engine to use the graphic equalizer.

Why does it work after a fresh install and then never again after that ?
Is there something i have missed ?

Regards
Haslenuts

@haslenuts
You may want to start this as a forum post, but:
Are you running OS4 or on a classic with 3.X?
Is AHI and mpega.library updated ( OS4Depot )?
What are your sound settings for engine use? (try auto-select)
Have you seen if SnoopDos can give you any more info?

EDIT- I don't have this problem using autoselect and latest AA, although I ahve 'odd' behavior when using mpega.library, unrelated to the EQ.

When an OS4 native version?

I am in the process of porting it, but progress is rather slow. You know, too many things to do...
