| Hello
Nice to see all reports from AmiGBG, and yes it was a fun event !
To MikeB;
Nice to meet you again of course.
I have to make a comment on this one though...
> Gunne was convinced the blue troll team would win, which they actually did!
I cant remember if I said so to you, but perhaps I did. If I did, you must agree in that Im quite good in see how things will come out... ?
All the best !

| Well, it stands to reason that a blue troll would do anything to win an AmigaOne and finally get the chance to play around with OS 4 :) _________________

| I just finished adding 16 more pictures to my report. They are located underneath the original article. Last edited by MikeB on 28-Jul-2005 at 06:24 PM.

Are you going to cover the expenses (initial license, porting, OS maintenance costs) and personally take care of the official bundled hardware support and distribution? If so, I suggest to contact Paul (for possible funding), Carda (for hardware support relations) and when you have a business model ready knock on Hyperion's and Amiga Inc's door.
No blue troll can make AmigaOS4 for the Pegasos2 a reality, but maybe you can. |

I don't think that he is totally blue, as he did a very good job answering the questions _________________ Best regards, hnl_dk - Henning Nielsen Lund [Denmark]

BTW: Nobody really seems to have taken notice, but AmigaInput on USB Gamepads was shown at the AmiGBG the first time. Those PSX Pads Amidog had in use for showing FPSE were run using a USB->PSX Connector, and this was a version of FPSE supporting AmigaInput |
I did take a look at them, and thought that it did seem like something new, but Amidog wasn't at the table then, so never got around to ask about it.

There's already a list of supported USB pads/joysticks which is growing longer |

nice report.
here is an error though:
Two nice surprizes for all three events were preview demonstrations of a highly improved OS4 native version of Candy Factory 2 (Screenshot) by ZeoNeo Limited and a beta version of the webbrowser IBrowse.
---
Candy factory 2 is OS4 only , candyfactory 1 was an 68k + wos product and its sequel was for the first time shown at Amigbg (though was it really shown ? ) (hjf/thomas mentioned they forgot to show it due to time limits though it was shown when setting up the machines before the "show" started.)
nitpicking i know. _________________ See my blog and collection website! . https://www.blog.amigaguru.com

OK, I slightly reworded the text a little: "Two nice surprizes for all three events were preview demonstrations of a new highly improved OS4 native version of Candy Factory (v2.0)".... Better now? |

| Thanks.
Thought I be prepared this time, just in case if Ben Hermans would have asked me to demo AmigaOS4 for German/Austrian TV channels 3Sat/ZDF (or similar) again this year. |

| You probably missed the most impressive aspect of FPSE by far. There were two screens, two controllers and multiplayer - but only one AmigaOne running the whole deal (using two graphics cards and link-mode).
Glad to see the rarest Amiga machine of the models present made it into one of the shots(14) - even if only the keyboard is visible (The Access - placed between the CDTV and the A600 which was playing mp3s on a tiny TFT screen using MAS player). |

| The dual-graphic card feature sounds interesting, but how does this work exactly? For instance do you only need one game CD for dualscreen multiplay?
When I played a little with FPSE AmiDog wasn't around. |

| Something else I seem to have missed was a demonstration of the movie player MPlayer. Does anyone have any idea who did this presentation and what was actually shown? |
