Software News   Software News : Broken Sword (OS 4)
posted by amigakit on 1-Sep-2005 19:28:43 (6322 reads)
Enjoy Broken Sword on your AmigaOne with this package put together for specifically for OS4 users.

Broken Sword is a point and click adventure game created by Revolution Software which places a young American on holiday in Paris into a mysterious adventure, where the fate of man could be decided. The game is full of cryptic puzzles and it is down to you to solve the problems using information gathered along the way.

The original sealed game CD comes with an Amiga-specific Installer CDROM. This allows quick and easy installation of the game and data files.

Game cut scenes are not included, but are available to download from the SCUMMVM website. Broken Sword is © 1996 Revolution Software. SCUMMVM and the Amiga Installer CD are not in any way affiliated with Revolution Software.

Great stuff, Broken Sword was a game I always meant to get and play on the playstation (after playing a demo) but never got round to it, pleased to see it make an appearance on OS4. Amiga Kit seem to have found a nice way of getting 'new' games for OS4 quick. Look forward to seeing what comes up next!

Very impressed with AmigaKit's efforts all round, just ordered a network card from them for my A1200, very tempted by their WiFi card for the A1200. Anyone have any experience using this? Looking to add one to my A1200 (OS 3.0, 030), would be cool to be gaming on the A1200 downstairs on the big tele and be able to send a quick email, get a TV schedule or download from aminet.

I'm also very impressed about how AmigaKit manage to bring such great
adventure games to AmigaOS 4.0. ScummVM certainly does a great job
playing these adventures If Revelution Software could help the
ScummVM team by supporting it more, it would be even better

I'm sure Broken Sword 2 also will appear, but Broken Sword 3
uses a different engine. Whatever, it's looking very good

I guess that adventures like Curse For Monkey Island and
Broken Sword use a 16-bit Cartoon Graphic Display, which
certainly looks much more colorful and detailed, and
even better! True, realistic speech!
