| Clearification. As far as I understand it hyperion's contract with A.inc does not allow for them to develop versions >4.0 Anyway, as saimo said, why bother with this right now?
edit: as I am writing this, i suddenly remember that rogue has answered this but cannot remember what he said.

| This'll be perfect as an MP3 playing, IRC/surf box. The latter mostly while using Linux admittedly (to begin with), but hey, you've got to start somewhere.
Low power/noise computing ftw!
And the Geekport does tickle my fancy, I'm really looking forward for a finaliced price (and the Geekport documentation). |

Depending on the final cost it may be interesting to hook up a half dozen Amy05s and try some parallel computing projects et al. AmiBeowulf anyone? (just kidding.. sorta)
The important thing is this is a start. Hopefully the start of many more OS4 projects to come. _________________ ExecSG Team Lead

| Niiice! I like the geekport idea. Suggestion: route the audio in/out signals from the built-in sound to it, modern sound cards have some pretty good ADCs in them. Too bad you can't do the same with video...
The only thing left now is price, which I imagine will be revealed this weekend.
Hey Hyperion, get busy and buy one of those things so you can get with the portin'! |

On second thoughts, this may interfere with the funky automagic speaker detection logic in the audio chip... |

Hmm. One IDE port is a serious limitation. I hope a future revision will have a SATA controller or at least additional IDE ports. _________________ Who do you serve, and who do you trust? - Galen

| The board also contains an SIL0680 - so that provides IDE etc.. the geode also supplies another IDE..
So you got two ports - two channels on each.
You could have up to 4 things |

Sorry but I have to ask one thing about the Amy..
The "south bridge" has one channel IDE which I suppose is for DVD/CD-ROM and/or burners. So my question is.. Is Sil680 still the chip used for harddrives or have you made a upgrade to SATA in the final revision? If so, how many channels? I guess 2 but 4 would also be nice. | [Helgis mode on]
Will it be possible to overclock the 800MHz 750GL to 1GHz?
