Software News   Software News : Sputnik bounty complete.
   posted by Troels on 4-Apr-2007 20:50:28 (7689 reads)
- Mission accomplished -
The OS4 users have now donated 3,124.72 EUR and the Sputnik for OS4 bounty is complete. Further donations are off course welcome and will be transfered to Marcin when the OS4 version of Sputnik is released.

Big thanks to everyone who made a donation and especially to those who spend time publishing updates on websites in languages I don't speak myself.

Feel free to email me at tersking()gmail.com with suggestions of other bounty projects.

I only say this once... (1) there's nothing crippleware about MUI, (2) AFAIK MUI 3.8 do its jobe very nicely, (3) there's ZUNE which is OpenSource...

There is, the OS4 version is the demo, with limited configuration options, AFAIK.

3.8 wasn't crippleware in the sense it presented all the functionality, just wth one theme... the essential is there, if you want fancy stuff... you pay

If you have your own MUI reg key then it works fully functional.

IS YAM any less functional if it runs on MUI unregistered? Or any other MUI app? Not to my knowledge...

@pixie

No. Why do you make it sound as if I'm attacking MUI or something? I love MUI, I absolutely hate Reaction, but yes, OS4 *is* bundled with the Demo version, which means default look. Some people don't like that and that's fair enough.

Hi all,

Any comments from the respected author of Sputnik regarding the completion of the OS4 bounty?
