I still use my Amiga1200+1260/50 with AmigaOS 3.9, and have a MorphOS at home too. And I'm looking forward to use OS4 on SAM440. |
I have an A1200 which I don't realy use since getting my A1, but if the legal situation doesn't improve to make the sam440 available, I will seriously look at morphos on the Efica. I mainly run 68K programs anyway. _________________ Peter Swallow. A1XEG3-800 [IBM 750FX PowerPC], running OS4.1FE, using ac97 onboard sound.

| Depends on what you want. In my opinion, AmIRC has the best balance of features and usability on any platform ever. However, if you do not want to use any of its advanced features, scripting etc., WookieChat is fine, or better if you consider server tabs. It really depends on what you want to do. _________________

A little correction, there is MorphOS-binaries of Wookiechat aswell as AROS which covers all amiga-like system around. Personally I prefer AmIRC, mostly beacuse of old habit but I like Wookie aswell |

| Yes, but they should start to sell it again. I would atleast support them if they came back.
Small irc guide for Amiga:
AmIRC - AmigaOS 3.x & MorphOS (v3.5.38beta) MomosIRC - MorphOS Wookiechat - AmigaOS 3.x, AmigaOS 4, AROS & MorphOS Chatbox - AmigaOS 3.x Grapevine - AmigaOS 3.x BlackIRC - AmigaOS 3.x
You can download AmIRC, Wookiechat, BlackIRC, Chatbox and Grapevine from Aminet for AmigaOS 3.x
Lots of choices! and you asking about irc channels?
AMIGAWORLD.NET: #Amigaworld
EFNET: #Amiga #Amigaworld
FREENODE: #Amiga #AROS #Morphos
To join a server etc, you can type "/server irc.polarboing.com" (which is a part of Amigaworld IRC network), then type "/join #amigaworld" to join the channel.
You can offcourse use GUI clients, which got extra features. If you don't like to type lots of commands, use GUI clients.
I hope this helps :) Last edited by AmiDelf2 on 12-Oct-2007 at 02:51 PM.

| Regarding jahc's WookieChat;
"Executables are provided for AmigaOS 3.x,4.0, MorphOS and AROS"
