Yes, as soon as I can find a terminal program that will connect with the Sam. _________________ -- -=#Val#=- Valiant@Camelot

What misused? Why is OS4 the only OS that will sell this mobo? This does sounds like sour grapes IMO. People wanted an Amiga like OS on a PPC mobo, here it is. If it doesn't have the specific corporate label on it that you wanted, sucks to be you.

you tell me what os you want to use on a sam440 then???... you know like everyone else here that x86 is cheaper, faster and have more option than a sam440 ever will have.... the only reason to buy an sam440, is if amigaos4.0 will be released for it. as it is now they ported aros to it so they can say "look here, aros run on sam440 and now there is a reason for you to buy our hw"... that i call misuse of aros, because there is no reason at all to buy it..Last edited by d0c on 27-Jul-2008 at 04:04 PM.

The reality is AROS for SAM440 is here. You don't like it, don't buy the SAM440 with AROS. Pretty simple huh?

Except some people only want PPC. Well, they got it now. AROS is breaking yet another arch barrier because it's not about the hardware, it's the OS that matters. You buy what hardware fits your needs and wishes. If AROS can manage that hardware you buy, go for it. If it doesn't, find a different OS. No need to be upset and creating stress, it's just a computer.

Thanks for the info. I did try TeraTerm, but for whatever reason I could never get it working. So I went back to JRComm which works ok with OS4 and was able to get output for both the nvram settings and the serial debug output. With that we figured out was going wrong and I finally got AROS to boot on my Sam. _________________ -- -=#Val#=- Valiant@Camelot
