@BillE

The download works fine here now.

@all

BTW has anybody noticed the "Brussels" in the news item? The previous press release (about the OS4.1's update) was signed "Antwerp, Belgium", while I remember all the older ones to have "Leuven" or similar. Have Hyperion moved their offices twice in the last year?

That is a known problem with the elf.library and it is being worked on.

@Varthall
Shared objects only work properly on the native SDK now. All the cross-compilers are currently broken because they use an outdated binutils. Try contacting the adtools administrators to find out when that may get fixed.

@ShInKurO
Avail FLUSH is a hack which allocated too much memory to try and indirectly invoke the memory subsystem to flush. There should have been a proper function call to flush the memory subsystem but that was never implemented in Amiga OS 3.x.

In Amiga OS 4.x, the memory subsystem has been completely redesigned and a swapper added so Avail FLUSH now works against the system and makes things much worse. That is why it has been disabled.

Sometimes, developers and translators need to expunge cached fonts, libraries, devices and catalogs in a system correct manner. This is where Expunge comes in and does a system-friendly expunge of these resources. For example, to flush the catalogs, "Expunge locale.library" is now the correct way to accomplish this. See the Expunge documentation included in the SDK.

That seems to be fine, BUT I still have no access to the QuickFix package. I did send e-mail
to Rogue, but got no answer. Did any of you have similar problems?

I found your mail now, but you wrote it to my FriedenHQ address, and that is my private address.

Anyway, you must have a valid registration for AmigaOS 4.1 to download the Quickfix.

Hi Rogue,

you usually wrote (IIRC) from Antwerp, Belgium; but this news is from Brussels, Belgium.
There's something new you would share with us?
something like "hey, I like to spend my holidays in Brussels, what's wrong?"

Thanks for your hard work,
Showman

But...

I didi reregister my OS 4.0 when you updated your webpage, and even then the registration of OS 4.1 was closed for me. Same error message, I have no permission to apply (or something similar).

So I have had OS 4.0 since beginning, I had possibility to update to 4.1 but not register. I had possibility to register my Freespace, but not anything since the webpage update. And I have tried that several times until I got tired.

What kind of information would you like to get to verify that I am the actual and only and original owner of AmigaOS 4.x with 4.1 upgrade?

@eha

Thats because you have not registered a new account.
After you have done so, login whit your new account, and transferee all your old registrated software (There is button on registration page for this.).

Yes its that simple.

But I did... That was the task that was needed when the new webpage was introduced.
I made a new account, and tried to get the licenses to it from my previous account. Did not get all of them, and now when I tried to do it to 3'rd account I could not read the data from my 2'nd. I do not remember the details of my first any more, so I cannot try it.

But anyway, does it really matter? I do not have that much time to use my AmigaOne any more, and it does not matter if it is not at the latest possible stage. I will try to moan more if there ever comes some software that I really need and if that does not work with the current version...

Your registration on the web site. You should have a serial number, and you should be able to register. So far I haven't heard of any issues, but make sure you use a browser that works, like OWB.

Why do you expect this to work? The process is outlined on the web page, and I'm sorry but I am quite sure it works, because not only have I tried it myself, I got confirmation from others that it works.

You need to tell me what exactly you are doing and what messages you get, because otherwise I cannot help you (preferably in E-Mail though, because this is 100% off topic to this news item)

@Rogue

Hi! Otherwise nice update of SDK, but why it contains old version of VBCC (0.8i, dated 2005)? I had some good time searching for problem with my code until noticed this. The present version seems to be 0.9 (dated 2008).
