Do your 2D radeon drivers work under OS4 on the A1200 PPC ?
I can't find an answer to this so i'm holding off upgrading to a mediator.
Nice offer I'd like to take you up on but working OS4 drivers are a must first. Last edited by JurassicC on 18-Nov-2009 at 09:27 PM.

Elbox claims to have their OS 3.X driver working in their labs. However I was unable to get it to work on OS 4 classic.
The OS4 beta test team and developers know about the issue. I don't know if there will be a fix or not, no guarantees, but the OS4 team does have a Radeon and Mediator.
The problem is very complex. The classic systems do not have a x86 BIOS emulator to execute/init the Radeon's bios. Elbox pokes the hardware directly to get the card running, thus why only specific Radeons are supported.
If I were an OS4 classic user I would show support and/or interest to Hyperion. _________________ AmigaOS 4.x Beta Tester - Classic Amiga enthusiast - http://www.hd-zone.com is my Amiga Blog, check it out!

Do people still wait for new accelerators for Classic machines?! And of course expect them to be more powerful and less expensive than the Sam I presume..
Nice to see digital DVI output though! Would be nice to have on OS4...Last edited by Deniil715 on 19-Nov-2009 at 03:06 PM.

Also ARM could be used. And SoC chips could simplify the development.
PPC idea (re-invented 10 000 times?): use SAM lattice interface to develop the interface to Classic CPU slot. When it works, build simplified, small board.
update: in real life, get iMiga/Ares and do Amiga in SW+HW combo, the end result is better or ask Elbox to run Natami production.
Also, I think Elbox would have the know how to produce "Amiga3000extreme" products same way they have done those PCI products. Now they could use Minimig technology to handle the OCS/ECS part. Perhaps they could do minimig that would fit any PCI busboard / PCI riser. It could be "A2000PCI". And after implementing 68k in FPGA it could be "A3000PCI". etc... with Natami GFX FPGA in could be A5000. ... ... And ofcourse only grazy fanboys would buy it.
