Acer the low products as my scanner have the BenQ name, my scanner has 8 years ago, today I don't buy and will buy some Acer or BenQ products.

I tested your program and the OS 4.1 doesn't recognize the scanner, the usb.library that your system install, well, neither, and the program runs but as it can't select scan type, the program doesn't scan, maybe that the problem is int OS 4.1?

This means, that the scanner is not shown by "USBInspector" from the OS4 utilities? Then it is a problem of OS4, which might be fixed with the next update.

Not the USBInspector begin or try to connect with the scanner but it doesn't finish to do it and also recognize, I'll wait the final version of OS 4.1 and this and other bugs aren't presents.

After some tests I have to declare following backends as broken:

- plustek
- u12

Can someone, who needs the plustek backend post (or send me) the output of a debug version of "scanimage"? It can be downloaded here.

Please call the command like this:

scanimage >ram:scan.pnm -d

If you don't know the device name, call "scanimage -L" before.
