| Safari shows the progress bar BEHIND the URL bar, and I have a Firefox add-on to do the same. I guess there is no point in editing the URL bar while it is loading, although it would still be nice to SEE which page it is loading. It just looks a bit strange, but expect I'll get used to it. _________________ Author of the PortablE programming language. It is pitch black. You are likely to be eaten by a grue...

| OWB is a strange browser concerning the CPU.
After loading amigans page and doing absolutely nothing, OWB use 85% cpu for just seing the snow falling on the amigans banner and around 40-50% when scrolling under this main amigans page.
Doing nothing and same cpu used. _________________ BTW, what you have done for the amiga today ????

| @Mrodfr The joys of using an interpreted language (Javascript) for things it was never intended, on a platform with comparitively low CPU speed .
But I do have to say OWB v3.22 seems a LOT snappier, like other said. Maybe it incorporated Fab's suggestion about network optimisation? At this rate, we won't need a port of Firefox! :) Last edited by ChrisH on 29-Dec-2009 at 06:45 PM.

| Thanks Joerg for a much improved release. Seems much quicker and opening of new tabs in the background is much appreciated. Cheers _________________ A600 OS3.1 ACA620 | '030 A1200 OS3.5 | µA1-C 750GX OS4.1 | SAM460 OS4.1 | '040 A3000 OS2.1 | Christian Aid |

| Well, OWB for a long time now had the ability to talk or chat on facebook,so I dont know wha your on about?
As for speed, nice.
As for being able to do everything, time will tell again, infact, i only have to go and test one site, the selling of items on ebay via a GUI interface.
Everything else, including youtube is working on my system with OWB, clipdown and get video.
Cheers.
Joerg - Wont be long and we will have two great browsers, inclusive of Timberwolf.
Cheers again. _________________ Courtesy of SAM440Flex & Amiga OS4.1 only Flex is 800mhz A1000 with Classic 520 Amiga OS3.2.1 AmiKit 12 MorphOS PowerBook G4 (which can play youtube vids)

| Yes facebook have been working since many versions back now, even chat.
With previous version i often have to quit owb and rerun it as it can often get stuck on facebook loading. Have to test more with facebook + owb 3.22 to see how it behaves. Seems i sometimes have to reload the page to load it all. Maybe just some problem i had yesterday. Ill play some more. Last edited by Kicko on 30-Dec-2009 at 12:34 PM.

No, it isn't. Mate, I had the very same problem with my old pc (AMD 1GHz, XP SP2 Prof, Opera + IE 7 + FF) at amigans.net when they implemented the snow fall as a Christmas banner at the very beginning. My cpu was reaching 100%!!! It has to do with javascript for sure. On the other hand, I do visit, with my sam, other sites which are FULL of java and I do not get the same cpu usage. So, the problem must rely on Amigans and not at OWB.
By the way, used and tested. Faster than ever, even more stable, fav icons work, tabs work, css works flawlessly, javascipts of "heavy" sites parsed correctly, the progression of page loading is now properly installed (as in my default browser which is Opera).
Three things are missing: Download handler, Online streaming youtube (etc) videos, and the awesome feature of Opera with holding down the right click and pressing the left, points you out back, while doing the opposite redirects you forth! _________________

| OWB 3.22 works very nice. It's even faster than previous version. I only miss a download manager. And it seems less memory hungry ! New + and - icons for tabs comes very handy indeed. Good Job Jorg Last edited by diezi7 on 31-Dec-2009 at 03:59 PM.

| Here, everytime I try to close a Tab, OWB brings up the Grim Reaper. Everything else seems to work perfectly.
Used OWB 3.21 and it worked like a charm, but sometimes got slower and slower with no apparent reason (just leaving it on). Had high hopes for this new version, but this Tab crash is very annoying... |
