| You are right, as there really isn't much more Cinemaware can do than simply release source + assets.
A team could use that to code from the ground up, but I'm not so sure I see it happening
One thing I wondered about... how difficult would it be to get Wings (Linux) working on an AmigaOne, using a scaled down Linux in a seamless virtual machine? Does it at least have the hardware-power to handle it? Just curious if instead of a port to an Amiga flavor OS, port to Amiga hardware, and use a Linux version that boots up seamlessly. Due to being PPC, and not knowing what sort of graphics the AmigaOne has, I expect it'd be problematic. But it'd be a lot easier making a Linux port since it's in Unity, and then Amiga people could possibly work on simply getting that to work -- without a need of installing Ubuntu or dual boot Linux. |

| Also, we'd like to remind that Cinemaware freely ceded its games for inclusion as downloads for owners of AmigaOS. This was done in direct cooperation with Hyperion. As mentioned, we will always do what is within reach.
Also, keep in mind that coding is just a part of the entire project. All the art & graphics would be made available for porting as well, and these assets can represent anywhere from 50%-70% of a project's costs. So we hope the community recognizes we are trying our best. Last edited by cinemaware on 28-Nov-2013 at 07:42 PM.

don't worry, must of us do.
@thread
if folks would like to see this game on the platforms targeted initially, then by all means participate in the fundraiser. if the project source gets made available for use on next-generation amigas, that would be a nice bonus.

| Honestly, I would be pleasantly surprised if a redux of this great game was released for Amiga, but I would be even happier if it were made available for iOS and Android so it could get in the hands of as many folks out there as possible, as should many of the other Cinemaware titles. _________________ When swimming with sharks, make sure to bring lots of band-aids...
