Yep, sounds interesting alright. This was talked about a long time ago as a limiting factor for giving Timberwolf a native AmigaOS GUI - Firefox required more levels of menu entry than Intuition could provide. I guess that's not the only thing holding it up though

Icons in Intution Menu... oh great I was only requesting this week on the Hyperion Forums, I believe the suggestion has been floating around for years. Good to see =) I want to be able to take advantage of these as soon as possible.

Gotta say, really impressed at the pricing (which nobody seems to have commented on).

There's no way I'd have paid before just to play around with AmigaOS 4.x, but this along with WinUAE is a winner! Will be picking up a copy after payday... I predict huge increase in income all-round!

(Even brought me out of lurk mode!)

Images have always been possible in menus, but only magi of the highest order could ever get it to work.

Please don't expect programs to be using this from day one, I've only seen one demo (in the SDK examples drawer, but not public yet) using it so far.

I suspect I can tidy it up if there's a new menu.class (also the current public OS4 is missing some improvements), Frederik put a lot of work into first fixing the entirely broken image menus and subsequently improving the look of them based on me constantly finding problems.

Cool, well that just goes to prove that Magi of the highest otder could get images into the menus

As I understand it though Massimo has reworked the menus system from scratch (or at least extensivley) as well as adding the new class and keeping backward comptabilty with gadtools and 'manual menus' (like PPaint uses :-0 )
