It is not just a marketing slogan, it is REALLY runs my scripts almost THREE TIMES FASTER!

| Wow, you never stop :) Its really great to see you make Hollywood grow. I dont use it myself but use some software developed with it. Developers will for sure be happy to able to do even more stuff now. |

| Haha.. impressive list of new features!
I'm really glad to see how Airsoft Softwair continues to improve Hollywood - to have something unique like this developed on/to amigaOS/morphOS in 2015 is just amazing!
Our Dental information-software developed using Hollywood/Designer is now the marked leading software of its kind in Norway. Recently we even bought the rights to the software of our only competitor, simply to put their software to rest :)
Being able to use amigas in development is great fun! I would urge everyone to support Hollywood / Designer
best regards

Good to hear about your success.
Makes the time spent at the dentalwaiting room a bit more sooting, atleast an Amigaoriented company is profiting on my pending pain ;) |

| Sounds like a nice upgrade...
Now if someone would write a book on cross platform programming for beginners with Hollywood I would upgrade right away. But as I failed to get into using the previous version, mainly due to a lack of good guides and tutorials for beginners I will hold off on the upgrade for now.
Linux ARM and AROS support both sound really exiting and I will look forward to seeing existing software ported over to the Raspberry Pi (and other such low cost Linux devices).
I can see a lot of new interesting projects being created with £30 Raspberry Pi's and Hollywood, as together with a touch screen they should make a very cost effective and powerful interactive display platform. _________________ Sam440ep 667mhz, 512MB, 120GB 2.5" HD, OS4.1FE WinUae 3.0.0, OS 3.9, BB3, Catweasel MkIV Amiga 1200, Blizzard 040/40 (BlizzardPPC 060/200 with SCSI removed at present), mediatorSX pci, Voodoo3, PCI network card os 3.9BB2 4MB Minimig with ARM addon boar

I started programming in Hollywood simply reading the offical documentation...however in the official HOllywood forum thee was a beginner section with tutorials and FAQ...never look at that? _________________ Simone"Tuxedo"Monsignori, Perugia, ITALY.

cross platform programming for beginners with Hollywood |
I am not sure what you mean by this sentence, but in case you have understood the thing wrong, I will correct you then.
There is no such separate thing as cross platform developing with hollywood.
Idea is that you make a program, as example the typical: print("hello world)
And then you choose from menu options "Compile executable" after whcih you pick to which machine you wish to make that exe for.
Then Hollywood makes you that executable for that machine, and it is ready to be used.
So there is no separate cross development thing. You just make a program, and you can make executable from it to any supported machine.
Only exception to this is some plug ins. Like for example the MUI (Magic User Interface), since this doesnt exist for PC, Mac and Linux, you naturally cant compile executables for them with those commands.
However, once again, you make the code, and then you simply choose, AOS3, AOS4, MorphOS, AROS as platform to make your exectubale to, and Hollywiood will make a working executable out of your code for any of those platforms with your MUI code in it.Last edited by Bugala on 23-Feb-2015 at 03:10 PM.
