| Really like the idea, sounds a bit like aros aeros.
So will you be able to buy the software on its own or is just with the laptop.
I have to say however I kinda had my Amiga mobile fixed thanks to aros running really well on my old acer aspire netbook, which now netbooks have died off due to tablets you can pick them u for around £30 on eBay and great little device just wish the battery lasted longer. | So...why a dedicated laptop since everything mentioned should run on any (old) x86 device? _________________ x86/MorphOS 4.0

| So a Linux laptop that boots straight into UAE? Should be nice for those who want an amiga laptop, but don't want to have to learn the Linux boot process just to play a few games. What I'd like to know is what laptop they're using as a base... there are some nice low end laptops that could fit the bill (especially if all you're going for is a 7MHz A500 in laptop form factor), but then there is also a lot of cheap crap. |

| Well, there is the "PPC" aspect mentioned in the press release.
I guess the speed of the PPC emulation/expirience depends how far they plan to push the ram and graphics card utilization.
Considering the team listed I have hopes for some serious improvements.
But Id really like to see some demostration before making judgement |

| I really like this idea. An Amiga-crafted PC laptop which can run Amiga, Linux or Windows applications is some sort of wet dream for the die-hard Amiga lover. I like the form factor of the units in the press release, I hope that specs will be good as well and different keyboard layouts will be available for different countries. |

| Jan Zahurancik has held a presentation of AmiKit and A.L.I.C.E. at AmiResE.T. in Rzeszów (Poland) just about yesterday. There should be a video some time soon. Also, the demo computer he brought was an Acer Aspire V13 (dual core Intel i3 at 1,7 GHz and an Intel HD 4400). |
