@Samwel

I don't know what an MNI driver really is, except that there was only a few, and I could never get it working

I don't know what you mean by "neworking handling", the eth3com.device is not a network stack and does no "network handling". It's a driver that allows the network stack (Roadshow or any other SANA2) to communicate with the hardware.

Sorry, I don't know what a handler is, because as a developer, I am new to the Amiga. I only learnt how to do dev work on AmigaOS a year ago or so (I was an Amiga user a long time ago, but a user only) :-\

Regards,

Ross..

@rossv

I'm not a programmer, well not a real one anyway
I used to program "doors" to DayDream BBS system
in 96-98.
So do not pretend to understand all this, but as I recall
the MNI drivers where way smaller, a couple of KBs each.
The *.device files were often more than triple their sizes.
So some extra code that is similar/same between device
files must be there.

Btw I used MNI driver for Ariadne II in MiamiDx and it
worked just peachy.
I even tried it some months ago with my 10Mbit connection
and it worked just fine.
