I find it funny, about 10 years ago when members of Portuguese Amiga User Group (PAUG) done the same... but then perphaps was because it was already made 10 years ago (when I was still an young boy)...

I know very well what the guys at the local city dump do with this kind of old pc´s : collect them and when they have enough then they trash it with a bulldozer That´s the story I got when I asked what they planned to do with a computer they didn´t know (it was an A1200)

PC throwing is far from new but I guess the idea behind it is to give proof of activity in such a small country, no matter if it´s pc throwing or Lotus racing with two A500´s and four players at the same time

And as for the drinking, don´t think I have seen anyone drunk at that meeting- I did see many drunk guys at the Wired party many years ago and I know there were a lot of french guys there ...

Hm I really should organize a two day meeting so we can get reaaaaaallllyyyy drunk.

But now , most of us have to drive between 30 minutes and 2 hours and there are a lot of drink-&-drive controls here in Belgium and they are waaaaayyyy expensive. Half the beer is "Jupiler Blue" , it's the light version so you can drink twice as much beer if are behind the wheel and it tastes more or less the same.

And what the victims of the pcthrowing contest concerns here in Belgium... There are so many old pc's here in Belgium the only way you can get rid of the low-spec machines is throwing them away... nobody wants them if they do not run XP overhere, so everything below Pentium 2 - 350 Mhz without lot's of ram is more or less doomed.

What the bag is concerning ... looking to myself and imagining the bag on my shoulder ... yeah right.

Later on that day.

Person #1 - Where is the PC, I need to compress a movie?
Person #2 - Use your Amiga, infidel.
Person #1 - Nah, I want it done by tonight.
Person #2 - Remember today, we kinda trashed it.
Person #1 - DOH!!!
