| Amicygnix now works with JFXS partitions
@Voodoo
Did you install the latest diskimage package? I have the same problem since I did that.
Moving the dos drivers that came with diskimage to storage helps the happen less often but stil does occur. I had that problem before and after the 4.1 update. Last edited by TiredofLife on 22-Jun-2009 at 11:00 PM. Last edited by TiredofLife on 22-Jun-2009 at 10:36 PM.

| A lot of things seem quicker.
No crashing yet.
Looks excellent so far. I do get the red bars on my non-Flex Sam but it seems easy to get them to go away. Hopefully the problem is found and fixed soon.
I'm going to go off and see if DvPlayer or E-UAE run faster now.
Thanks for the update guys! |

USB still will not output. Input only. No Mem sticks or MIDI out. Just keyboards and mice. |
Yes, usb1 have problems on SAM-EP.
- Sometime keyboard and mouse on PS2->USB Adapters stop working (not my case but reading this problem on forums).
- 3 HDS 2,5" external here not recognized here.
- USB stick 1go jumpdrive not work but 16go ocz rally2 work (but sometime turn all files on the 16 go to 8+3 files with big sizes - key with FAT32 PC formatted).
- COWON A2 and I7 not recognized on SAM (but OK on A1) but X5 recognized on SAM. (YES! I'm a COWON hardware user
Of course ALL the hardwares mentionned before work well with spider2+poseidon+AOS3.9.
BTW, IMHO improvements has been made on the USB drivers for SAM since the release of AOS4.1 for SAM but I'm little sad to not have the usb1 improvements on the quickfix package, of course for testing and reports if allways problems on USB1 and SAM-EP.Last edited by Mrodfr on 23-Jun-2009 at 05:43 AM.

| One question for all, and specially to Sam owners, which parts of fix update working in the Sam? because with all problems that I read with this update I'm thinking doesn't install it or install to hand the libraries, or files that truely working without problems. Thank you for your ideas and solutions. |

As with anything, perform a full back-up of your system before updating so you have something to refer back to.
But yes, I would update and follow tips in this thread.

I am sorry to say but this is utter nonsense.
Either install the quick fix, or leave it be, but if you don't then just simply accept that some software that depends on this will not work. Claiming there are a lot of problems with the fix is highly exaggerated, as it isn't even certain whether the fix causes problems or something else.
You cannot go selectively install whatever update you want and expect that the result will work. Either install all of it, or don't install anything. _________________ Seriously, if you want to contact me do not bother sending me a PM here. Write me a mail

| I'm sorry to report that I am having a real problem with this update. I have a standard uA1c. Yesterday, I downloaded the update, unarced it, and then went through the installation procedure. At the conclusion of the installation, I did the soft reboot and used it all day off and on with no problems. This morning I did a cold boot and then my problems began. When doing the cold boot, the system scans the bus, loads kickstart, then I get a black screen, and then a screen comes up which says "OS4 Kernel (Kickstart Version 53.8)" and there is an animation of a floppy disk being inserted into the machine. Workbench never loads. I have discovered that by holding down both mouse buttons during the startup I can get to the Amiga Early Startup Control screen, but then if I select booting with no startup-sequence, I still get the the screen with the animation on it asking me to insert a floppy.
I'm thinking of restoring things, downloading the update, and trying it again. Does anyone have any other ideas? Thanks. |

Very seldom (before the first quick fix) i had sometimes the same problem. Did you try to "soft" reboot within the magenta screen? My system loaded without hassle afterwards. _________________ X1000|II/G4|440ep|2000/060|2000/040|1000

| Seems like this update introduced a new and nasty bug. My screen suddenly stopped updating for no apparent reason and would only update when i moved the windows around. Even the clock stopped updating whenever i dont constantly move windows around. Only fix was a reboot.... |

It did cause some issues for some including me. I am pretty sure it has something to do with the quickfix as i have never ever had any of these problems before. I am sure this fix also solved some problems though, but it definitely has some annoying bugs. |

Thanks for the suggestion. I had not tried that before. Unfortunately, the soft reboot puts me right back to the magenta screen.
Any other ideas? Last edited by Ned on 23-Jun-2009 at 06:01 PM.

| THANKS!
SAM feels faster! And for a hour or so I have had no lock-ups etc...
I can start to build on this.
THANKS AOS4 guys, again!
UPDATE: The USB? lock up still exists. Last edited by KimmoK on 24-Jun-2009 at 01:12 PM.
