| Looking good. I've been wanting a good sound mixing program, and this should be pretty nippy on the A1.
Any comments about the speed on the A1?

| Thanks!
Remember that OS4 on A1 is still being developed, so I have some speed results, but I don't want to share them in detail yet. Plug-ins are more than 10 times faster than on my 060. _________________ Audio Evolution http://www.audio-evolution.com

| Great to see audio apps under development. What I'd love to see would be something akin to the VSTi system for the Amiga. It's great to have all your instruments and effects units all on screen just a mouse click away. _________________ Folding@Home Team AmigaWorld no: 33424

| I have only one minor complaint.. the fonts dont look very nice. Thats all. Keep up the good work. :)
-Edit- oh, one other thing, I tried out the demo a few months ago, and I found there were no help bubbles when you leave the mouse pointer over the top of buttons for a second or two. I usually rely on popup help to tell me what the buttons do. Even in programs I use all the time, like Nero and Word, I usually need them to tell me what the button does. MUI supports them so its no big deal right? And for those who dont like them they can turn them off.... |

| This App is looking very nice. Can you use loops like from ACID loop CD's in Audio Evolution? The structure looks similiar, and Acid was very easy to work with. In fact, Acid always felt (to me) like an Amiga Application that had somehow wound up on the PC. |

| @herewegoagain
you can import wav files into audio evolution, so if acid can export stuff as wavs, you should have no problems. |

AE4 does not use MUI or Reaction, so right now it's not possible. I might change some GUI elements to Reaction one day, but there are higher priorities now I'm afraid. Same for the fonts!
@Herewegoagain I haven't used ACID myself, but I don't think you will be able to use loops in the same way. You can take a sample region and let it repeat (copy) in many ways, but I bet ACID does more. Perhaps in the future!

I don't know, that sounds pretty much like the Acid I used awhile back. And AudioEvolution's layout is similiar (which I like, BTW) and I would go so far as to say AE has a better layout. Acid screenshot listed below:
and a comparison chart of the different features now can be found here. It does look like version 4.0 Pro has alot of new features.
Oh, and looking at some of the "Acid loops" available, it seems that most are just WAV or AIFF format, so they should work with AE as well. :)
Acid fanatic has a pretty nice selection of loops. |

| Yeah, but I would expect ACID to deal with different tempo's, by time-stretching the loops or other ways. Time-stretching is not available in AE4 yet, so when you would load the loop as AIFF or WAV, you would be stuck to that tempo. _________________ Audio Evolution http://www.audio-evolution.com

Yes, you can change tempo mid stream with Acid, but then that gives you something to work on for AE4.1 (or maybe Audio Evolution 4 Pro)
One could not expect everything to be included in this release. You know there will be room for upgrade versions. |

Many thanks for understanding this. However, I'm thinking about adding MIDI sequencer integration first. The basics are already in but it will take some time to finish that. It's also a necessity before we can think of adding softsynths.
And surround support will ofcourse be in AE5.1...
