In case Yam doesn't get ported to 4.0 for a while, can Simplemail import/export yam mailboxes?

there are two ways to do it...
use the mbox format as a interbetween (I think YAM uses the mbox format for archiving too) archive in YAM... open the mbox file in Simplemail then move to the correct folder/whatever. the recived date's gets screwed but...

Simplemail can read YAM mails, but YAM can't read SimpleMails, so in theory you could use the same folders for SimpleMail and YAM... but since YAM can't read SimpleMail's mail format... this is not advisable.

@RedMelons

I asked because I'm not going to run 68k applications on my A1.

Excluding those that are needed by the OS itself that is.

Is SimpleMail actually compiled for PPC? The website says "SimpleMail is a new mailer for the Amiga classic platform" and there is only one lha download. Is there a PPC version included in the download, or is it interpreted 68k?

Hi!

At least to OS 4 Betatesters a PPC version is available. A public release of the OS 4 PPC SimpleMail does not make much sense before the OS 4 prerelease is out I'd say.
