Any ideas on why Jabberwocky doesn't work on ppcUAE?

Its the bsdsocket.library emulation I think. it didnt work in WinUAE either up until the last release a few weeks ago.

Anyway..

Good work guys. I plan to use Jabberwocky for my ICQ/MSN needs when the prerelease gets here. Thanks for continuing to support the Amiga.

There were some bugs with the bsdsocket emu, but in the 1.4 it was fixed, so now it works with WinUAE well! :)

regards

I just tried Jabberwocky v1.4 in an old WinUAE and it doesnt work.. both version 1.4 and earlier versions of Jabberwocky work in the latest WinUAE.. is that what you meant?

"Jabberwocky works now with the new WinUAE Version 0.8.23
They improved the bsdsocket emulation so it should now work fine out of the box."

So, you should use the newest winuae.. the problem was in winuae's bsdsocket emu..
