Software News   Software News : Ghostdust to produce AmigaDE content
posted by ghauber on 24-Mar-2004 1:14:13 (2501 reads)
Ghostdust is being formed in order to produce mobile content and applications for the AmigaDE and also J2ME/MIDP platforms. All titles formerly produced directly under the name of Gabriel Hauber will bear the Ghostdust branding.
.

This includes those titles already publically known - Gems, Go for Goal and Jami, and all future projects under consideration/development. Ghostdust will also continue to work in cooperation with Atomic Digital Studios in producing co-branded AmigaDE content.

Ghostdust is excited by the technology represented by the AmigaDE and is committed to developing for the platform into the forseeable future. For more information, please contact Ghostdust through the contacts listed on the website

Great to hear that DE developement is still going strong even if Amiga, Inc. has had some problems lately.

Hey there Gabriel,

So you finally got round to setting everything up eh?
I'd sure like to see your J2ME port of Gobbler and check out if it really is as good as the PDA-version by John Harris.. been play-testing that forever :P
But I guess I need to purchase a new cellphone for it would't I? Or are there any good emulators around?

Regards,

Onno (yep from Atomic Digital Studios.... I should really, really update my site soon :o)

Well, if you want to try it, you can purchase it here (Handango) (soon to be released through Nokia Software Market as well, once I finish up the user manual). It does run reasonably well in the Nokia emulators you can download from Forum Nokia but of course it runs best on a real Series 40 phone I'm not 100% certain, though, that if you purchase through Handango that you get a link to download the actual game, or if you need to do an over-the-air installation directly to your phone, in which case it won't work for an emulator.

But, since it's you, I could just send you a copy and you could run it directly in an emulator if you wanted

Now how are you ever gonna get rich like that?

And I don't mind paying 4.95 (especially with the low dollar atm), but I'm not buying a phone for just that game .. Could you possibly throw in one of those as well then?

Regards,

Onno

"Nokia emulators"

Hey, let's port those to AOS4. It would be nice to play with that stuff untill DE is ported to AOS4.99.
