I thought the GlowRevolution package was a competent effort and infact the best png version of Amiga Icons produced by anyone so far.

While I wasn't originally a fan of large, cumbersome icons I do think that the size of them could be slightly on the bigger side. I've been using a Linux Icon package on my Amiga lately and have warmed to a larger style of icon. I especially like the idea of having various sizes included in the package because I tend to use different size icons for different things - AmiDock uses a different size of icon to normal desktop ones, for example.

I think also that using a slightly larger icon size would naturally improve the quality and freshness look of your GlowRevolution package.

Other than that, a 2 image set would be nice (like original Amiga Icons) but I think we're restricted there to the current limits of PowerIcons which only supports an Icon tint, not a completely seperate image?

Something that I feel is missing is an installer to automatically install the new icon set in place of the standard Workbench icons.

Other than that, pretty impressive stuff!

Kind regards,

Francis.

@Cybo:

I was wondering: is it possible for you to render them in other colors? (talking in particular about changing the black drawers into blue or any other color). Or does the icon set rely on the black to look good?

Really cool icons!

I've always loved the Lorraine Design work, and GlowRevolution is no exception. Looks really slick and professional. I still love that dark look on the Workbench or Desktop.

Now, I thought it was not possible to have an alternate image with PNG icons. I don't see any of this set that actually has a "glow" when highlighted. Is that correct?

In AROS which has PNG icon support too, that's possible. One just needs to cat/join two PNG image files (of same size) together.

Cybo: You need to add http:// before your websites address in your profile, otherwise it appends it to amigaworlds address.

Here's a list of the programs I use the most and have docked in Amidock:

Applications:

1. DrawStudio v2
2. Frogger
3. AMPlifier
4. SecondSpin
5. Scanquix
6. AmiNetRadio
7. APDF
8. fxPaint
9. FinalWriter

Internet:

10. Miami
11. Voyager
12. Newscoaster
13. Aweb (for completeness)

Prefs:

14. TurboPrint
15. WarpDT
16. Trident (Poseiden Prefs)

As for suggestions: I'd second the suggestion for colored drawers. And what about making the question mark in the prefs icons stand out more with a yellow or other bright background?

Great work!

So it is possible to have a clicked icon that is different from the first with PNG?

Erm, what do I need to be able to use these? Because as it stands, I can't actually see them. I am running OS3.9 with PowerIcons, but as I said, I cant see any of them....
