Some initial pictures from AmiGBG 2004 can be found here and here. Also Ryu captured some of AmigaWorld's live audio broadcasting and together with Billsey intends to create an edited version.

Woulda been a great show to have gone to... Nice bunch of flowers given to Mr Hermans there, but I still can't understand the significance of the Volvo pics...

I had a great time, there were lots of interesting people to talk to. So many thanks to Shoe, Reflect, Wedin and others involved for making this event possible and of course for helping out the AmigaWorld team so much!

@ DaveP

DaveyD and the rest of the team made quite a few pictures and so we hope to put them up later today. I guess they are still sleeping though, if not for Shoe's cute dog needing a walk outside I would have been too. The AW team, AmiGBG guys and some other guys will be meeting today to do some fun "things" together, so the pictures may not go live until pretty late today.

@ MikeB

Are there gonna be labelled pics? Like showing us who Reflect and Shoe are?

@mjohnson

Where you there?

@ Orgin

Ditto above question.

It looked, and sounded, an excellent show. Well done.

For facts fans:

AmigaWorld on the day processed:
> 5000 unique visitors to this site
> 4GB of streaming live radio data to around 85 listeners
> 80 users on the irc channel able to put questions to the floor
> 1.1GB of web data served

And, only 3 cockups on the radio flow, and none of them were the team theres fault it turns out, as it happens server1 ( amigaworld.net ) was causing problems with the stream making everyone sound like daleks.

I have taken the images from the first website (rimmer666) an thumbnailed them on my website. Hope this is ok, if not PM me and I will remove them ASAP. I am not sure of the name of the owner of these pics so if you are ok with this, please PM me and I wil put your name up.

Pictures here, btw my site uses inline frames so I apologise to all Amiga browerser users who cant see it.

The Volvo were located at the ground floor and not related to the event itself. Man what a hideous color scheme on that one. The show was very nice, quite a lot of people. Just gotta love that OS4, very neat. I bought a AW.net mouse pad and the total amiga mag, very nice that one aswell.

The 1mhz 64k commodore with kontiki OS and internet connection that Jens S. showed off has got to be the most odd thing there.

I've got one or two of Shoe, I can have them printed and framed for ya if you'd be interested. Matter of price though, obviously....

Yup. Had a blast! Though I think I managed to avoid being captured by any snapshooters, lucky me.

I'll probably put some pictures up any ol' day now. (Had the rolls processed just a few hours ago, as soon as I got off the train, though the conversion from the neg-scanner at work managed to smeg up completely, so I never got them on a CD, I'll hopefully be able to transfer them tomorrow and then put them on-line, like, any evening now)

A few turned out rather nice. Most were sharp and well exposed, and the grain's rather fine for an 800 film, so I'm pretty satisfied with my photographic effort. I also managed to get one of Paul (AmigaOneProductions) where you can actually see his face.

I must say that there were a bunch of really cool t-shirts on site. I managed to get two of them to pose for me (with the corresponding owner still inside ).
I also won a DVD through the pre-booking lottery. Not too many left to chose from when my name got called, but there was one with Angelina Jolie, so it was a rather easy pick after all...

Nah, I'm sure I got you at least once. So prepare yourself, your days in anonymity are numbered! Muhaha!

BTW, don't anybody hold your breath for my pics to get online. It is going to take at least a few days, more likely until some time during the Easter holidays, before I have them all developed, mounted and scanned, as well as captioned and uploaded. But I will do my best.

And yes, I also had a great time there. Thanks to all involved!

Best regards,

Niels

Yes, I have ALL the presentations, including Jens, but it's going to take me a day or three to process all the video, hang in there

Something is screwed up with the link to the first of erlend's .avi files, DSCF0530.AVI. The others seem to download fine.

Niels

We (Swedish Usergroup of Amiga) have made a video of Hyperion's presentation at AmiGBG.
We have some temporary servers provided by nice people from #amiga.se, we will have more videos later.

Thanks guys this was great!

The timing was such that I was unable to participate live for the show so the pictures, video and audio were really helpful and exciting.

Seems things are really ramping up now for the Amiga effort especially for Hyperion with Ben's position changing.

Look forward to more video pictures and reports.

David forgot to take his camera cable with him, so you will probably have to wait until he gets home before you get to see the AW pictures.
