| Have to say that I do like the idea of the direct boot function, could be fun to take it into work and have all the laptops with AmigaOS on them! _________________

| Well I bought a copy the other night and wait on its delivery.
I have to admit that having an emulator installed ontop of windows seemed a nostalgic thing rather than a practical thing. This is different, by customerizing the CD I can set up kiosk-like applications ontop of intel boxes.
Working in schools where the MS network for many purposes is less than ideal, slapping in an Amiga CD and launching directly into the one or two applications actually needed for a class (like a word processor) is very practical thing indeed.
Well done Amiga Forever.

| "...but also compatible with Mac OS X ..."
I wonder how the OS X support works? I would give some thought to trying the product if the software targeted to OS X is comparable to the X86 product (i.e. self booting or at least as easy to set up and use). |

We should keep in contact about this, especially because the last time I used Amiga was when 3.1 was brand new ; )

| CD boot is a fine function, however I would be interested in being able to boot it without the disks being write protected as default. Then I could set up my old 200mmx as an amiga and put it to use again. _________________

I agree, the idea of a standalone bootable CD that starts up without Windyblows sold me on the idea, I intend to try copying the CD to HD and boot directly from that, now then it really should kick bottom |
