Hardware News   Hardware News : SWAUG REVIEW: USB BAR
posted by swaug on 26-Apr-2004 13:59:06 (2288 reads)
We were approached by a non-Amiga company, USB-Pendrive.co.uk to test the USB Bar for a number of weeks on our Amigas.

The result is this review. Check it out if you fancy an alternative to ancient floppy disks on your Amiga.

Our website is also in the process of getting a complete facelift and overhaul- we hope you like the changes that have been made.

The review link can be found at http://www.swaug.org.uk

hey thats cool that a 'non amiga company approached you.
cool, it actually look quite interesting - nearly eliminates the
need for floppy support on the A1s....

cheers

Can you format the USB flash drive as FFS2 instead of having to use FAT95?

The pen drive sounds nice. I hope to try one on my A1 with OS 4 soon

Absolutely. But it wont have compatibility with PCs and Macs then.

However if you are Amiga only, this can be the way to go.

You can also prep it as a hard disk in HDToolbox and partition it if you wish.
