Software News   Software News : WookieChat BETA
posted by jahc on 18-Jun-2004 12:31:14 (1929 reads)
I've made an AmigaOS 3.x IRC (Internet Relay Chat) client. It needs a lot of work still, but I thought I'd finally let everyone use what I've done so far. This software is UNFINISHED, and is very much BETA. View screenshots and download the archive from the WookieChat Homepage

It's not as good as AmIRC yet, and still has bugs to iron out, but one feature this client has that other clients dont is multiple server support.. i.e. connect to more than one server at once in the same window. It runs on OS4 and OS3.x. Havent tested it on MOS but that should work too. Read the readme in the archive, and enjoy. :)

Did anyone check if it works through a proxy? Since I need proxy support.

It does not yet work properly through a bnc proxy, whether it works through a web or socks proxy I don't know.

Dave.

Who am I?!!? I was vital at every stage of the program. Without my constant harassment, oops, I mean "encouragement", the program would probably never have reached it's current state.

"Is it done yet?"
"No"
"Is it done yet?"
"No"
"Is it done yet?"
"No"

Obviously my role was critical.
