Hopefully we'll see an installer for the AmigaOne soon after

Quick, someone who runs a dual boot file a bug report that amiga-fdisk removed your boot loader.

You'll need to run amiga-fdisk on the drive and save the results, then boot from installation CD and reinstall the bootloader from the partitioning program there.

If not, we might not see my patch in Sarge ever. I'm not actually RUNNING my AmigaOne, so cannot do it right now. I can provide a minimal patch that only fixes the problem, doesn't add any new features.

Edit:
I put it online here:
amiga-fdisk-0.04-bootstrapcode-patch.gz

Such an update should be done by Linux geeks and not OS4 geeks. I mean, all OS4 people should work on applications for OS4 by now.
The OS needs you, develop !

Like I said, someone MUST file a GENUINE bug report. Stop bugging me and DO AS I SAY.

Simple fix - DON'T USE AMIGA-FDISK!

Debian Sarge includes "parted", which has full support for Amiga partitioning and is much better :)

@Neko

(heh, never made the connection neko==cat until now. Nice kitten. Is it a japanese kitten? )

Of course, that (parted) is an option. Sven Luther included code in parted to stay off the SLB (second level booter?) after I had been bugging him about it for some time

But if amiga-fdisk exists, someone is going to use it, and therefore it is important to fix it. Either fix it or remove it. Letting it stay with critical bugs is just silly.

I did make some more upgrades, but haven't gotten around to polish it for other people yet. I find my own versions to be quite useable (with support for ADOS device names, boot priorities and so on). The only thing that is severly lacking in my version is overlap checking. It's quite easy to create a partition inside another partition, which is a bit(!!!!) dangerous to newbies

Maybe I should spend some time and finish that as well...
