| I found this link today. http://ftp.uni-paderborn.de/aminetbin/find?render+library However the download dies on me so I'll try again later. Aminet seems to be having issues at the moment. _________________ Best Regards, Louie Dituri Computer Connection Voice 209-836-2150Alps Media LLC

| I have just installed this onto OS4 & when I run it the CPU monitor at the top right is showing "Over". I have closed down all programs & it drops to around 50%.
When I try to play (So far a WAV file & a MP3 file) HD-Rec says my processor isn't powerful enough for realtime playing. Any ideas anyone?
Still, i'm keeping a close eye on this one. When I used it a fewtimes on my classic I enjoyed some of the realtime effects going on. Very nice.

| There has been a discussion over this on amiga-news.de and it seems that HD-Rec is: - (partly) written in 68k-asm - uses odd combinations of 68k-FPU-opcodes that work like a charm with Bernie's JIT (UAE/Amithlon) - that these sames opcodes aren't very well served by the MOS-JIT or OS4-static-EMU - he might convert the DSP effects to PPC later on _________________ - We don't need good ideas, we haven't run out on bad ones yet - blame Canada

| I have just tested HD-Rec 0.9 on my A1200 (Blizzard 1260/50 & 256mb RAM).
The previous version worked fine but my classic Amiga gets a requester up saying there's not enough processing power.
Could there be another problem?

| @Fuzion
ANY real 68k is (far) to slow for the realtime effects possible with the current version. _________________ - We don't need good ideas, we haven't run out on bad ones yet - blame Canada

| Someone with the knowhow (about HD Rec) should put a mention about HD rec compatibility to intuitionbase.com . _________________ - KimmoK // For freedom, for honor, for AMIGA // // Thing that I should find more time for: CC64 - 64bit Community Computer?

Has the overheads of the latest version jumped that much? In version 0.8 I remember playing three 5-6mb MP3's & playing with the realtime EQ without having any probs on my 50Mhz A1200.
Even when not doing anything on version 0.9. The CPU meter is showing 'Over'.
