The GFX looks a little basic...Can it do better?

I belive that this is running on a "classic" Amiga (ie not an A1) and it may even be 68k - as such, one wouldn't expect massive detail

@alx

I believe you will find it is running under Warp3d/WOS for PPC equipped classic machines. As such it needs a Voodoo3 or BV/CV. I seem to recall it also needing between 16-64MB ram.

Still, a 200Mhz 2nd generation PPC processor with a BV/CV isn't going to be a match for a 800Mhz G4 with far newer Radeon; I'll admit that the graphics don't look that awe-inspiring, but if it's ever ported to the new machines, I can see them getting a lot more performance for free.

Anyone know more about when this game's meant to be finished?

Well Actually it runs on a Classic Amiga with a PPC card.
But our Progger also got an A1 so there will be an Optimized and more detail version of it. Me as the Dev. leader got a LC040@25, PPC166MHZ 603e+ so i can be shure that the game runs ok at this config.

Well there can be some server downtimes because of the big traffic and server changes at the moment.

@mangaclub:

i really like that you guys will make this game, waited years and years for such a game on amiga and im sure even with this gfx style it will succeceed since its got a special carisma to it.

wish the best of luck to you guys on this game and i will buy the game as sooon as its out.

cheers

ps:better gfx wouldnt hurt but i know how hard it is to find people to work with you on an amigaonly game + speed matters , id rather have a fast game with less texture detail than a dog slow one with good gfx... (develoiping myself here so.)

Why not porting it to DE, that way you can scale the graphics and have it running on basically anything :)

@djnick

Well this is a 3D engine testing.. NOT a final game!
I suppose they will show better gfx later on when they implement
this engine to some real gaming stuff.

@ djnick

It is only a 3d engine developed by some guys in the free time, it isn't a commercial project, neither a a1 3d engine infact this is developed on a old 60x powerup board.
