I did spend a lot of time on some stupid bugs though, that's the reason I didn't finish it some months ago.

In addition it seems we always are trapped between windows and unix when it comes to predefined stuff and behaviour. Oh well, I hope it works for you guys ;) ( never use RAR myself though)

Now, as I don't have an AmigaOS 4 system myself (yet), I havn't seen this piece of software (UnRar). However, in general, I prefer not to use software that can considered to be "quick and dirty hacks" - which includes applications that rely large quantities of stack memory.

In the case of a command line extractor, I would personally make it as AmigaOS-coherent as possible - by taking advantage of exec features such as properly asking for memory and using ReadArgs() style parsing.

That being said, I'd just like to express my (humble) concerns that the AmigaOS 4 software pool will end up being a landfill for quick SDL and POSIX ports. If I want to run that sort of software, I would get a Intel-based Linux-box. With AmigaOS, however, it is a totally different matter. Quality should be of key, not quantity.

Anyhoo, those are just my two cents.

Uploaded a version that has stack set to 150000 and it should now actually use it.

As for ports vs. native apps I disagree, as I intend to use AmigaOS as my main OS in the future everything that can be ported from other systems is positive.

As for ports being more unstable than native apps that's just bull. Amiga programmers tend to code much more sluggish than UNIx ones for instance and besides apps are tested after porting and errors, lack of checking etc. are usually taken care of.
