| ok just tried it, it still crashes on the initial screen (where I assume you tell the game to start/load etc)
you also still cant select anything other than a 640x640 8 bit screen.

The second I read "it now works in OS4" I'll order it.

| I agree with Toaks - the game is great (played it a lot on my A1200), well worth the wait
So Slandmedia is still around? I remember seeing fabulous screenshots from their next game (they were in the Exodus CD) - cannot remember the name of the game right now, but maybe we'll see that on OS4 some day, too? _________________ "Those are my principles, and if you don't like them... well, I have others." | Grumpyoldman:
Yes the sequel looks damn nice indeed but that was abandoned due to horrible sales of exodus - Tlw , thats sad as the sequel looked so smooth.
If Sales go better after this morphos and Os4 fix...well nothing is impossible and i have talked to them about it indeed
anyway slandmedia is still around and they still have their machines so...
But no AmigaONE yet nor os4...so... _________________ See my blog and collection website! . https://www.blog.amigaguru.com

| I have the classic OS version. For what it's worth, I'd pay a small upgrade fee to 4.0 if it means the sequal gets revived... _________________ This sig. intentionally left blank

| Ready to spend (big time) when it will work. Any Betatesters got Foundation working with the RMB and then of course there is Napalm although I know the producers may be less than helpful. I gotta say though like the message I sent to Rogue the other day in a post (in which I sincerely hope did not want to upset him) how do you find time to focus on the OS itself?
I for one can wait for add ons such as games, fixes and eye candy because I would rather have some straight forward functional IT ability in front of me such as reasonable quality printing, Web, USB and networking. I know you guys (Betatesterss and Hyperion) are working your butts off for us and obviously do some of these projects for relaxation but in the end it is the system we need now not just hacked or slightly incomplete games or programs.
Hope you take this in the vein of how it was intended (a backhanded thakyou)
Cheers ACE
PS What have I done for OS4? So far (as a non programmer). I have purchased FXPaint, Ibrowse and Pagetream 5 (to name a few). |

| Well as a Exodus owner who never really enjoyed it because I had a graphics card based A1200 on which I ran it ( slow and therefore boring and crashed after the first mission ) I kind of hope that there will be a patched version for AmigaOS4.
Couple of narks the patch could fix:
1. Assuming installer is in c: - its actually in sys:utilities but just pick it up from the path please.
2. When you type in the cdda device ( a1ide.device ) you really have to hit enter in the textentryfield for it to pick it up. I know its not really the authors fault but its still irritating.
3. Only display the screenmode that match the spec - e.g. when you are prompting for a 640x480 screenmode just stick to showing the screenmodes that are 640x480?
I'd like to enjoy this game for once, and I think the extra beef of the A1 with a graphics patch would really help.
Somewhere Ive got Napalm but I never installed it on the A1 yet. Anyone know how well it works? |
