Thanks Sebastian for this great program! I especially like the Spam filtering. Works great for me.

I can't wait to get back home and upgrade

I've been using 0.23 for ages and I love it. My main wishes for improvements are in the speed department (when loading biiiiig mailboxes) and better IMAP support. But even as it is in 0.23 I love it.

I wonder if there are any plans to support IMAP accounts.

I think that would be pretty useful.

Cheers,
Bean.

Please consider NOT using HTML *ever* in e-mails. HTML belongs as much in an e-mail as Windows belongs on an Amiga. Whoever came up with the idea of HTML in e-mails will be first up against the wall when the revolution comes.

Bean:
IMAP has been supported for a long time ;)

What's missing is IMAP folders (as far as I can see) and IMAP being faster.

@Trezzer,

Wow! It does!

..and it's pretty quick as well!

Now if they could get the folders working like a proper tree:

EG:
INBOX
Sent
Trash
Drafts
..... etc.

instead of

INBOX
INBOX.Sent
INBOX.Trash
INBOX.Drafts

It would really complete the IMAP support.

Well done all involved - excellent

Cheers,
Bean.

I would have to agree there. I personally cannot stand receiving html emails. A majority of them end up unread and trashed immediately, but them my main mailer is Microdot 2.

One of the first things I disabled in OE and Thunderbird was the sending of HTML emails. I know some people will complain they can't send funky little pictures or use coloured fancy fonts, but they do not belong in an email tbh. It is partly because of html emails and the use of Javascript and ActiveX components within the mails that created a lot of the security problems regardig worms, trojan and virus propagation.

@jahc

Nice screenshot btw. I have been tempted to try Simplemail for some time, but never got around to it. I guess I got too used to using MD2 to give it up even with its flaws

While it loads OK here (OS4 latest) the 'config' button doesn't appear to work properly.

Clicking it puts a little in tray on the wb screen, with 'T:O N:O U:O' under it but no config window opens.

When I first used SimpleMail, it didn't really do much for me so I left it alone & caried on with YAM.

I installed this yesterday & boy is it good! Thank you very much for this great piece of software.

I'd have to agree with 2 things here though. The folder trees seem a bit ugly (As in how they work) & the toolbar is nasty.

Other than that, lovely.

FuZion.

Here SimpleMail wasn't so stable (0.23 68k very much stable... )
When I read my mails, every 4/5 mails it crash
And the signature(like on 0.23) wasn't working I have to write it by hand every time
However SimpleMail was GREAT! VERY usefull and nice to see and read HTML mails very well for me

I hope this little things was solved soon

Tuxedo
