Miscellaneous News   Miscellaneous News : A600 Users Gallery
   posted by A1200 on 8-Jan-2005 22:20:36 (2059 reads)
Christian Krenner of amiga600.de is compiling a gallery of Amiga 600 users from all over the world.

Anyone who owns, uses or has an upgraded/modified Amiga A600 is encouraged to email him with a few pics of you with your machine and some specifications (processor, RAM, hard disk, any special expansions etc).

Also give an idea of where you are in the world and what you use your Amiga for.

There is also talk of a meeting of A600 users, either a convention or an online "virtual meeting". If anyone is interested in that, please contact Christian or myself and we will add you to an "interest" list and if the demand is high enough, we can take it to the next stage.

2005 - The year the A600 users unite!

My first ever amiga was an A600 back in 93 then sold it for the A1200 in 94. Still got my A1200 but my main computer now is my A1.

Snap.

Well nearly. Kept the A600 and acquired a couple more along the way. Managed to get hold of a 4mb pcmcia card (before I could afford a hard drive!) and used to load the 3 Pagesettter disks into ram to avoid disk swapping. Colour DTP on a 7Mhz computer. Great fun - it used to take 1.5 hours to print a page of graphics. Those were the days. Sigh.

An A600 was my first, too!

I'm in the process of modding it, as it can't really do much as standard... see the sig!
(Shame that it won't all fit back into the case, though )
