Software News   Software News : Malibu video available
posted by softwarefailure on 10-Feb-2005 21:04:33 (2218 reads)
For all people who do not know Malibu yet and want to know what it looks like to run Scala scripts on Workbench screen, there is now a presentation video available which shows several Scala example scripts with Hollywood 1.9 and Malibu 1.1.

This should give you a fairly good impression of how powerful Malibu is. The video is available for download from the Airsoft Softwair homepage.

Please note that Malibu requires at least Hollywood 1.9. It will not work without it because it is just a plugin which runs on top of the Multimedia application layer.

Impressive!
This will be a "Must Own" application when/if a native OS4 version arrives.

Btw is there one planned?

Wow - that looks really impressive and useful; a future killer-app in the making, perhaps?!

I can't check out the video yet (at work ) but I assume that everything still plays nice and smoothly, even though it's no longer relying on the tight synchronicity of the Amiga chipset?

an Os4 version of it all + ability to import/export Powerpoint would be really good

Could we see the same on fullscreen?
Are the data preloaded before the effect starts (like Scala)?

Anyway, thanks for this video. This is always a good thing to see a product before bying.

The scrolling seems to be a bit jerky though, a lá PC... I guess it has to do with PC gfx boards used

In the video, we can see the interface of the magazine "Obligement". So, if Obligement can run under Malibu, this software is really great !
