Software News   Software News : Hollywood for AmigaOS4
posted by softwarefailure on 26-Feb-2005 23:34:16 (7313 reads)
Airsoft Softwair is proud to announce that versions of Hollywood, Hollywood Designer and Malibu for AmigaOS4 are currently in work. PPC native versions of Hollywood will not only result in dramatic speed improvements over the emulated 68k versions but it will also allow all users to create native OS4 presentations/games/applications with Hollywood. So it is possible for 68k or MorphOS users to save their work as an AmigaOS4 binary! Vica versa AmigaOS4 users can also save their creations as 68k or MorphOS binary.

The release date for the OS4 versions of Hollywood, Hollywood Designer and Malibu is scheduled for mid to end March 2005. If you order any of the programs now, the upgrade to the OS4 version will be free. So there is no real reason to wait.

For more information please visit the Airsoft Softwair homepage.

Great work guys! A very wise move indeed, especially the ability to save in classic and MOS binaries!

/me begins earnestly to look for credit card stashed somewhere in the house as a "deterrent" to further credit card purchases..

I gotta have this one as soon as it's released (I have the 68k versions), followed very swiftly by a review for Total Amiga no doubt

I have Hollywood and Designer for 68k and love it! When I get an A1 with OS4, I'll definitely be upgrading.

One plea to the author: We need a printable (PDF, Pagestream doc, HTML) version of the guide with examples! A program with this much power needs some great docs and tutorials.

Great work.

@ Toaks

It looks very good, but what exactly is it capable of?
Is it like CanDo or more like Scala?
It's said to be capable of producing games with it. Is it really so? Does it have a BASIC like scripting language or it is limited to CanDo like decks (ok, but a bit limited, IIRC)?

I'm almost sure to buy eventually (soon, hopefully), but I need more info from those that actually have it and use it.

Thanks!
