Nice to see some Amigademos! Thanks!

I'd just love to see some of the old groups returning in OS4.. But I guess that'll never happen..

troels: there is No os4 nor pegasos compos because of the madness that happened last year at breakpoint.

the main problem is getting an own compo for lets say os4 and mos (joined) but who will donate money/prices to the actual compo?
(putting A1 and pegasos demos into the pc compo would just turn out ugly because of pc sceners (and Amiga) would not know which demos i for OS4 or MOS or Pc etc)

and maybe most of all... Amiga developers doesnt need to win pc hardware or compete for it anyway, all current compo's at assembly is just pc hw and sw worth "the amount in euro's" that they announced.

but lets hope both breakpoint and other parties will let in mos and os4 into their compos but not by competeting against 68k as it where last year (as thats not fair at all thou design is most of a demo theese days and not the actual code)

Glad to see that TBL scored another hit!
I'm getting to download all of their demos right now.

Well, the readme stated that it should work in theory and if it didn't, then the final version would. So let's keep fingers crossed for the A1/OS4 owners (me have seen it on my trusty old A1200 already )

On a side note, everyone with a even a remote interest in the Amiga platform should at least have a look at the screenshots from this two demos:
-Ocean Machine
-Multiverse

and note that both are 68k/AGA...

Yep! It's incredible what they manage to do with such an hardware!
Too bad I'm forced to play them trough WinUae... I think the emotion you feel when watching them on REAL 060+AGA is much different!
I mean... you know that it is running on an old hardware and it looks so good...

orgin: 68k coders left Amiga because of pegasos demos competeting against 68k aga , making it totally unfair. read the threads about it here at Amigaworld.

that said we on 68k always competeted against pc's at assembly for the last 7-8 years so yes its a matter of design and how well you present something but in the end it didnt go well at last years BP and thats why both pegasos and a1 demos wasnt allowed in the demo compo.
(some of the reasons anyway...)

@all
i tried Multiverse on A1/OS4, and as the rest of you i did'nt work right away.. i then fiddled around, and noticed that it trashed DH1: in the grimreaper, so i copied to whole lot to Ram: and ran it from there.. WoHaaa! it work, but with no sound though. well tried it again, and selected another ahi device, And nothing works now!.. so well, tried a bunche of other things, but only got it to work this once..
so i guess i'm the only person to have seen this on A1

regards

@Toaks

Do you mean Petunia is able to run such an Hardware-Hitting demo?
Or are you trying it trough E-Uae?

@Toaks:
Hey! Suddently your avatar is less scarier!
I did not read the read.me file... well I just supposed that demos were hardware-hitting, but I'm a bit old minded about those things.
Sure I couldn't think about a non hardware hitting 68K demo...
