Software News   Software News : Guess who're doing their dance on OS4 now?
   posted by softwarefailure on 4-Apr-2005 13:30:02 (4113 reads)
Yes: It's the badger badger badger dance - now also available on OS4 (thanks to the Hollywood native version for OS4). Enjoy this cool dance now on your A1!
There's also another new feature in this version: If you have timing problems, open the file timing.txt and adjust the value until it fits. Now let the badgers do their dance! Here's the link: http://www.angelfire.com/amiga2/barracuda_team/

Done by Mr.X of Barracuda. Hollywood by Andreas Falkenhahn.

The Grim Reaper says that the failing task is "T:HollywoodPlayer"

Any ideas?

Since upgrading guigfx and render libraries to their ppc native versions anything on my uA1c locks up when anything uses them.

Yet another peculiarity of /that cpu/ I fear.

@Wiffy

These libs act strange on my XE. Check to have them installer, check version. Then reboot (cold). For some strange reason i installed the libs 3 times, and it worked only when i rebboted after trying something wich use them.

I'll never forgive the poster of this article... all day through work, through thick and thin, one song kept on replaying in my mind: "Badger, Badger, Badger..."

and then.... "Badger, Badger, Badger..."

and then.... "Badger, Badger, Badger..."

and then.... "Badger, Badger, Badger..."

and then.... "Badger, Badger, Badger..."

Me too. I already had guigfx.library version 20 installed, and I installed an os4 native version off aminet.. the problem hasnt gone away.

-Edit- 68k version runs, badly, the sound is choppy.. the os4 version complains I dont have the right guigfx.library installed.

jahc: scroll back some news items (before hollywood os4 release) and you will find the os4 native guigfx and renderlibs in another news item.

good luck.

@jahc:

Sound of the 68k-compiled Hollywood scripts will be always corrupted because of a bug in the OS4 AHI. The OS4 version uses a work-around for it.

Concerning guigfx: Make sure you have the OS4 versions of guigfx.library and render.library v40 (!) installed. Always reboot after you exchange libraries so that they really get flushed from the system.

Alternatively: Buy Hollywood and run its installer script. That will set up everything for you automatically, so that you can start right away
