Hi!

I can't get the catalog-file to work with you GUI. Looking in snoopdos it looks for the file in LOCALE:swedish/ ????????

Why? It should be LOCALE:english/ and if it was a swedish locale it would be in LOCALE:svenska/ .

However I did put the catalog in LOCALE:english/ and it translated to spanish! The only word that was english was "host".

@poweramiga2002:

Can you please check what version of TwinVNC are you running?

It worked with the latest one,that was 0.7beta3 or something similar.

@hotrod:

that's because you have your locale settings configured as swedish, but as there is no swedish translation, it does load the default (ie spanish) one, try either making a new catalog for your preferred language or select a english language in the meanwhile.
AFAIK, the locale drawers name changed on OS4 for some languages, so it might be your case.

@mental note:Because of international usage of these programs,common sense tells me that i will need to change that for the future,english as default fallback language instead of spanish, and making a catalog out of it.

Offcourse I have but that doesn't mean that the catalog shall be put in that folder. English to english, german to deutch etc. That's how it was in OS 3.9 at least.

Anyway I don't get english even when it loads the catalog.

So I'm forced to choose english as my settings in locale or it won't work? That must be wrong.

No, as he said, builtin language is spanish, so it would fall back to that. English is normally prefered nowadays :)

I get that but in this case it should be possible to have several options like:

1. Swedish
2. English
3. ......

EDIT: Oh! I can ... Sorry but I hadn't noticed this feature yet. This is nice actually.

Please add english as internal language and have the spanish as a locale file.
This is the standard way.

I do have 2 version of TwinVNC in my folder: TwinVNC (I supoose this is classic Amiga) and TwinVNCOS4
Which vrsion does TwinVNC-GUI use?

Shall I rename my TwinVNCOS4 version to TwinVNC?

@mbilla:

It does search for a executable named TwinVNC, so you must rename the native(preferably) version.

Hi,

any chance that there will be an 68k-compile? Well, there is an 68k-version of twinVNC, too? 8^)

CU,
Mario

Hi,

The GUI and TwinVNC work great here, i`d always shyed away from trying it on the command line, though now i`ve used it with the GUI I can see it`s rather easy.

For those having problems I suspect you`ve copied the gui`s folder into your twinvnc directory rather than copying the gui files directly into the TwinVNC directory. I got the same problems at first.

Cheers
