Events   Events : NC/SC Amiga User Group Meeting
   posted by herewegoagain on 8-Jun-2005 3:02:28 (2362 reads)
The NC/SC Amiga user group will be holding it's second quarter group meeting on Saturday June 18, 2005. If you are in driving distance, please make arangements to stop by. You do not have to be a member to drop in and chat with the group.

Get the chance to meet with other Amiga enthusiasts in your area, and also an opportunity to see the latest build of OS4. We are hoping to have some midi demo's with the latest Camd.libray by Lyle, but this is not confirmed as of yet. Keep a check on the site for updates.

For more information, check out the meetings page on our group website.

Well, I cannot get the site FTP to let me update the meeting page (looking into this now). But the map directions are there for anyone who wishes to make plans.

@Tony

Now that I have finally moved into the area ( I guess I'm about 2.5 hrs away in Apex) I'm
hoping to make this meeting. This will be my first exposure to the AmigaOne, not to
mention meeting some fellow Amigans.

Thanks for posting this notice.

Bob C.

Great. Drop by the forum and register. There are other members that live near Apex. Maybe you could car pool.

UPDATE: The meetings page has been fixed with the proper info.

Bob, I've also added you to our members only forum as sometimes we chat there and not in the main forums. Look forward to meeting you. Now, we just need to get Wegster to join that trip...

Looks like the site is down again.

I can get to http://www.ncscaug.us/ but when I try a link I get "http://www.ncscaug.us could not be found"

Odd indeed.

Yeah, I've sent Michael a PM to ask if the server is undergoing maintenance or something, but haven't heard anything back.. you can also get there by going to http://www.suncoty.com/ncscaug but everthing doesn't work properly that way. Hopefully it will be back online soon. Since it's hosted by one of our members, I have to wait for him to check on it. Sorry.

OK, I'm in. I've planned a weekend with the family in Charlotte that
also let's me make the meetting on Saturday. I've already made Hotel
reservations and plans for the neighbor to watch the cat for a couple
of days. Unless there is an unforseen change of plans, I'll see you
there. BTW anyone interested in a Prometheus demo, I feel like I sould
bring some thing for show-n-tell. Or will there be time?

@Plaz

Sure, bring it along. I'm sure we will have time. Look forward to seeing you there.

Oh, and the site is undergoing a server upgrade. Michael has put in a trouble ticket about the site outage. Hopefully it will be back up soon.

@Herewegoagain

Sadly, It appears the site is still down and I didn't take note of the directions and exact location of the June 18th meeting. I was wondering if you or someone else could send me (PM) that information please?

AND......Thanks for putting your time in to this.

Bob C.

No problem. The site is still accessable, but you have to go through our providers address (Suncoty.com) Here is the page:

http://www.suncoty.com/ncscaug/meetings.htm

I've posted here in case anyone else wants to print it out. You can click on the link above the map that says "To this Location" and it will let you put in your starting address and give complete directions.

UPDATE... The website is back online, so you can use the normal link

It was a great meeting. For those who didn't get to attend, you missed some good food, good friends, and great computers on display. Oh, and you didn't get to see OS4 PR3 running Horny and Bars and Pipes... Ah... and the occasional game of Space Spuds on the A1000 with the Hiatex 3D glasses. Fun stuff. Happy 20th Anniversary Amiga.
