| Screenshots rock.
I'll make sure to actually sit down and begin reading things like these. Much appreciated nevertheless.
Cheers. _________________

Nice set of screenshots -- now we just need to see Mason's NEW OS4 icons! (The suspense is killing me!)
BTW -- the 'default' icons that come with the new AIAB are my all time favorite PNG icons! I can't believe I had never seen them before.
The new AIAB is an incredible package -- definitely the nicest 'looking' of all the UAE 'ready-to-go' installs. |

| Thanks Ken!
Will we ever see a set of your own icons in PNG format, thus taking advantage of alpha-blending?
Mike, great update - lots of useful information in there, both for first timers and more experienced folk ;)
By the way, might I suggest you take a screenshot of d980's fantastic icons too? He is currently working on some dual-image icons for AROS, and then hopefully some more AIAB specific bits and pieces - http://free-vk.t-com.hr/d980 .

Probably not.
BTW -- I wasn't just being nice -- the new AIAB is an awesome package. I learned a lot by studying the "old" AIAB -- I'm sure I'll learn even more from studying this "new" package. |

| I think someone need to write a guide for E-UAE for the Amiga one!
I'm having troubles getting to work half as well as WinUAE. Last edited by Stephen_Robinson on 12-Jun-2005 at 07:50 PM.

Personally I'm first planning to write an Amiga Forever article (next release, which includes WinUAE v1.0). But if you find (or write) (a) nice E-UAE article(s), I would gladly include the links. |

| Note the dimensions of these icons compared to those found in AIAB...?
It's perhaps worth mentioning that I found Damir's icons a little large for personal use, and therefore decided to scale each icon by 85%, using a Lanczos function to retain pixel detail. Furthermore, the PNGout optimiser was applied to minimise the filesize of each icon. From here, the icons are integrated into AIAB.
Ken, thanks again, please don't expect to learn much from the new AIAB package; other than how to configure well programmed software to work together! ;)

Ah, that explains it. I was wondering if his icons were available in different sizes. Personally I like the bigger ones better, especially I prefer the drawers to be a bit bigger than the ones coming with AIAB.
BTW, I shouldn't forget to compliment you on your most excellent AmigaOS4 theme and AmiStart configuration. AIAB feels all fresh again! |

| ...and I feel all warm inside! ;)
The large icons are just a little over the top - especially the drive icons - in my opinion. I use the AIAB setup on a 32bit 1280x768 screenmode (widescreen LCD), and it still feels rather cramped when using these icons.
I'm not absolutely satisfied with my OS4-ish theme; the disabled arrow/resize gadgets need to have a strong(er) two coloured look on them in my opinion. Also, a couple of gadtools glyphs have been redrawn too (take a look at the anti-aliased check/cycle gadgets in MagicMenu prefs, for example).
It's just a shame the titlebar cannot be skinned...come on Tanti - it's time to update VisualPrefs... or perhaps we ought to start a 'Birdie 2005' campaign!

Okey, I meant someone a little less lazy than me!
I read it somewhere, but the more common the OS the more detailed and idiot proof the instructions have to be, the more obscure weirder OS, the users get along fine...! _________________ Rage quited 29th May 2011
