| First post!
Good to see more activity/deals involving AmigaAnywhere.
(what did you expect for a hasty first post - something deep and meaningful?) Last edited by MetalJoe on 17-Jun-2005 at 07:31 AM. Last edited by MetalJoe on 17-Jun-2005 at 07:31 AM.

I'd completely overlooked Bill's name when skim-reading the release. Great to see him still around - I was beginning to wonder if his silence was really an absence. _________________ Snowboarder, Airsofter, Programmer, Writer and AmigaOne XE G4 owner. | Hmmm. Twice now, (here and at Amiga.org) I've tried linking to the article, and twice Internet Explorer reports that it has encountered an error and needs to close. I'll have to wait until I get home and try Firefox instead.
Perhaps Microsoft doesn't want good news about alternate platforms getting around? Nah.... _________________

| A good piece of news indeed.
Amiga Inc is well placed to attract a lot of establish software producers that are falling between the cracks in terms of different platforms and devices. Educational software is a definite market which made me think wether old PS2 machines might find a place in this same market (cheap with inbuilt graphics and a USB port, would make a nice unit) - just a thought. _________________ Greg Schofield, Perth Australia

| Hi,
It's a nice move! The market is interesting and the software has not to be developed from scratch but ported. For myself I didn't know Riverdeep. Is it a well known brand?
Cheers naz |

Yes, for instance a google search on "Riverdeep learning" yields hundreds of thousands results. |

| Two news items in one week for Amiga Inc, neither of which involved court cases. That has to be an upturn in fortunes.
And for those who think it has nothing to do with the 'Amiga community' those two phrases from Amiga Inc's website keep appearing in my mind.
"For information on licensing, adaptation or modification of any existing Amiga Operating System, please contact, technologylicensing@amiga.com
Please note, the development of future versions of the Amiga Operating System is not available for third party development or distribution." _________________ Time to give up now I think

I think those phrases are more for the benefit of people/companies who might try to develop their own "Amiga OS" to politely suggest they dont - rather than any "big plan" elsewhere... |

| Is Riverdeep making the "iRiver" mp3 player etc?
Anyways, this is really cool news. I hope something good comes out of it too.
